Bethesda, the critically acclaimed developer behind the Oblivion and Fallout franchises have announced that they’re working on a new ‘mature’ title for the Nintendo Wii.
Whilst no tantalising hints have been given regarding the nature of the title, it’s great to see such an esteemed developer such as Bethesda developing and creating a sure-to-be hit franchise for the Nintendo Wii.
“We are going to make an announcement on a really big Wii game this year, we’ve got a couple of other things in the pipeline, and it’s a format we’re really looking at with the right approach,
– Bethesda
The way the industry is going with their approach to the Wii I wouldn’t be surprised if it were a gussied up port with tacked on motion controls to make a quick buck off the Wii but Bethesda must now live up to their promises or fail.
I’m just imaging the controversy now…
Sounds like fun!
I read a couple of the related articles mentioning the Wii and Bethesda in same breath and I wonder what happened that made them change their minds about the Wii.
Wait, how in the hell did I miss this!? Good news regardless!! Thanks for the post.
“Bethesda, the critically acclaimed developer behind the Oblivion and Fallout franchises”
Bethesda is responsible for one game of Fallout, not the franchise. The other two were released by completely different people. And its ‘Elder Scrolls’ Oblivion is the subtitle for the fourth game.
