Nintendo Wii: Nintendo Cautious About Project Natal

Nintendo has admitted that it needs to continue making the Wii as immersive  as possible to keep up with future competition.

President of Nintendo America, Reggie Fils-Amie, believes that Nintendo will “have to move on” to the next level if it wishes to compete against both Microsoft’s and Sony’s forthcoming motion sensing peripherals.

  1. Well the advantage of the Wii is still that it is COMPLETELY motion controlled. Natal and the PS3 thing are just optional addons and most games won’t support them anyways…

BUT: competition is good for us consumers since nintendo will make even better stuff to compete with the other companies :D

how where they able to use project natal with burnout paradise? a game that was released way before project natal was even worked on. from what i’ve seen with natal it probally will work on most games. even if its just a simple patch.

  2. Didnt Iwata or Miyamoto say that they had no need to worry about Natal or the Playstation camera thing that Nintendo were perfectly inline with their goals or something to that effect.

This just looks like something to set off more flame wars about which console is better as Reggie never worries he always presents confidence to the public thats what makes him such a good PR guy.

Im not blaming you im blaming the source btw.

  3. Sony and Microsoft are really advancing through, but no worries for Nintendo..
They provide games and experience especially for casual gamers that u don’t get from the other 2 consoles..
U can’t play all games with the project Natal, so I think the PS3 wand or whatever u call it is still better.
