Nintendo Wii: Miyamoto Is Open To Online Super Mario Bros.
Whilst many Nintendo gamers were initially disappointed to hear that that the well received Super Mario Bros Wii didn’t include an online multiplayer mode, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto hasn’t ruled it out for future titles.
“Well, it’s not for purely technological issues that it wasn’t included. After all, as you know, we already have online play in Smash Bros., and technologically speaking, I don’t think it’s creating a high amount of lag. It’s just a matter of our priorities when it comes to the creation of a game. We just prioritised on making a multiplayer mode where four players can sit together and play while seeing each other’s faces.
“We thought that this was more important as far as this New Super Mario Bros. was concerned, but we don’t know about the future. Because network environments are getting better and better every day, it may be possible in a future edition to incorporate that type of multiplayer online mode for a real-time action game. But I am just talking about the technological aspect here. What’s more important, of course, is if it’s going to add to the fun aspect of the game.”

Nintendo: God Of War Producer Loves Zelda 64
God of War producer, David Jaffe, has stated that he wants to combine elements from Zelda: Ocarina of Time in the next installment of the highly regarded PlayStation exclusive action title.
“If I were to do God of War now, I would do God of War meets Zelda 64 structure. Much more interested in immersive games now vs. scripted experiences…But I think Zelda open world+God of War puzzles/combat=pretty good mash. Many other games have mash’d that up…Not to imply I don’t love God of War. I DO very much. But I just would not design it the same way now, in 2010.”

Nintendo Wii: Zelda Producer Wants More Link’s Crossbow Training
Zelda series director, Eiji Aonuma, has stated that he would like to produce a new addition to Link’s Crossbow Training but has instead been urged by his peers to continue to work on the next Zelda title for Wii.
“To tell you the truth, I actually wanted to create Link’s Crossbow Training 2. I thought that we should do something more and better in the field of the first person shooter, based on our experience of the first game”.
The “more” he wanted was an expanded multiplayer mode, but Nintendo would have none of it. “The fact of the matter is that a lot of people inside Nintendo insisted that I should work on a new Legend Of Zelda title rather than working on more Crossbow Training”.
