This comment is most likely subject to applying to myself but, this is a double bummer for me.
The 1st being, what if this never gets released outside of Japan? Though I honestly think it will.
The 2nd being, if this happens to make it’s way to the America’s, i honestly think it’s not of good timing what with me getting ready to put the DS on the shelf next to the Gameboys in preparation for the 3DS.
So either way, no matter how awesome this is, I most likely may never get the chance to own it. Along with all the other aesthetically customized systems.
Nintendo does not consider non-Japanese consumers when releasing special edition anythings. I hardly know why so many sites are even covering this release. “Here’s something cool you can’t buy” What’s the point?
Let’s all move to Japan…they have all the cool stuff, and they have it first.
Yes, but when (if) it’s sent to America, it’s usually updated and better.
It looks great but I find the timing to be less than ideal. 3DS will be getting released early next year. Why spend the money on this when you can get an obviously superior system within the next 6 months? I won’t deny that I’d buy this and the 3DS but really, who can afford it?
Even so I must say that Nintendo always does an excellent job with its limited edition items. Looks fabulous.

wouldnt it be better if the camera was a chain-chomp, with a chain from it, to a pole. and then mario on the other side.
This is terrible timing. Seriously, If you’re going to make a special edition dont make it this close to the release date of the 3DS.
Wow that looks great. I would be nice if they make a 3DS version too. Maybe they will consider it around the launch or a little bit after.
