Nintendo 3DS launch madness has descended on Japan with colossal queues and stock shortages.
According to Bloomberg around 2,000 eager gamers gathered outside Yodobashi Camera Co.’s store in Akihabara, Tokyo in an effort to secure themselves a Nintendo 3DS. The highly sought after device had reportedly sold out at other retail outlets who had already allocated all their pre-orders, according to deputy shop manager Kazuhiro Kashiwagi.
kamen rider? wtf?
anyways is amazing almost all 3ds units were sold in 3 hours!
I still have to wait for my birthday (may) to get my 3DS –” THIS WAIT IS KILLING ME!!!!!!
oh and yeah in May it also when it arrives here (Venezuela) so I have no choice anyways –”
Lucky Japan. Why are we waiting for one more month? Anyway, I hardly have enough cash to buy it. Hope its PAL release runs smoothly.
According to the rumours there’s going to stock shortages in Europe. Make sure you pre-order if you can!
Such a sad video for those who are 3DSless
I preordered mine today :)
I had my 3DS pre ordered (and paid for) for a while now thinking it will sell out on day one, unlike the “limited” Halo Reach Legendary Edition which I paid £100 for on release day only to see it in stores still near Xmas for £60-£70
