Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling has refused to confirm whether the highly anticipated Modern Warfare 3 will be coming to Nintendo platforms later this year. Bowling was asked whether or not Modern Warfare 3 was coming to either the Wii and the Nintendo 3DS and his reponse was a rather vaugue ”The confirmed platforms available for current pre-order is Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.” My thoughts are that a third party may be busy developing the Wii and 3DS versions rather than Infinity Ward themselves. What do you think?

Nintendo: Ocarina Of Time Writer Wanted Nintendo To Publish Legend Of Zelda Timeline
Fans of The Legend of Zelda series have been clamouring for Nintendo to release a timeline for the critically acclaimed series so gamers can see where each game fits in relation to each other. Nintendo has been listening and were poised to announce the timeline but they eventually decided against the idea. Thankfully Zelda Dungeon managed to get an interview with Nintendo’s Dan Owsen to further clarify the situation:
“At one point we had drafted a timeline and wanted to make it available online. We showed it to the guys in Japan and they basically told us that it would be best if we didn’t post it. They do have a timeline that has continuity between the games but they wanted to keep it open for how each player views the chronology of the series.”
“There are a lot of connections between the games, but they do have a timeline that has continuity. It’s up to the player to place all the pieces together.”
“The developers feel that posting a full narrative would take away from the players’ imagination. Part of what makes the series so special is the legend that spans across the series and they wanted to preserve that in the players’ vision.
“It’s also why they have never given Link a voice. The story is told as if the player is Link. Giving him a voice would eliminate that attachment.”

Nintendo: Capcom Announces That It’s Going To Cut Nintendo 3DS And Nintendo Wii Support
Capcom shared details on its sales expectations for the current fiscal year today and subsequently announced that it’s set to cut Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 3DS support and instead provide more support for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The Nintendo 3DS and the DS will see a slight cut in the number of titles produced whilst the Nintendo Wii will suffer a significant drop this year with only two titles being made. Has Capcom made a wise decision or a glaring error?
Nintendo: Another New Pokémon Game To Be Revealed Next Month
After the dissapointment that ensued after Coro Coro revealed that the new Pokemon game is in fact Pokémon Battrio, you’ll be pleased to know that Dengeki Nintendo have another Pokémon reveal set for next month. Nintendo Wii 2: Leaked Wii 2 (Project Cafe) Video Was Actually A Student Project

The video that took Youtube by storm depicting a Nintendo employee showing off the features of the Nintendo Wii 2 to developers was actually an extremely successful student project. The students involved with the video were tasked with making a viral video that would generate at least 5,000 views. The video has actually been viewed an incredible 600,000 times since it arrived on Youtube a few days ago. Just goes to show that you can’t believe everything that you see, no matter how convincing it is.
Nintendo 3DS: Team Ninja Want To Make A 3D Designed Game
Team Ninja producer Yosuke Hayashi told Nintendo president Satoru Iwata that he would love to make a Nintendo 3DS game that was firmly designed with 3D in mind. Apparently Hayashi was inspired by Shigeru Miyamoto’s comments regarding Super Mario 3D which will utilise the 3D visuals on the Nintendo 3DS so that gamers can precisely judge jump distances in the game.
“While I don’t know exactly when I will land any such future projects, I think the challenge of the games I make from now on will be quite rewarding…As a gamer myself, I’m looking forward to seeing what kinds of new games will appear for the Nintendo 3DS system. And as a developer, I want to challenge myself in the kinds of games that I make.”

Nintendo: Coro Coro Magazine Reveal New Pokémon Game

We all knew that Coro Coro magazine were going to reveal a new Pokemon game sometime this month but what we we didn’t expect it to be was a revised edition of Japanese arcade game Pokémon Battrio. The game is exclusive to Japanese arcades and has been out for a number of years. Hopefully Coro Coro are just teasing us and there is going to be a brand new Pokémon game for the Nintendo 3DS or the Nintendo Wii announced soon.
Pokémon Battrio requires you to collect real life circular chips, by purchasing them, to use in the game. The chips contain Pokémon that you use to battle and new Pokémon from Black and White will be part of the update.
Nintendo 3DS: GameStop Is Disappointed With Nintendo 3DS Sales
GameStop president Tony Bartel has revealed that the company is overall disappointed with sales of the Nintendo 3DS in North America. Whilst the gaming emporium was initially extremely excited when the Nintendo 3DS made its immensely popular début, it is now convinced that it’s going to have to lower overall sales expectations for the 3D gaming device. Hopefully sales of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Star Fox 64 3D will help boost 3DS hardware sales in the United States.
“We were very excited about 3DS when it launched. [It] was one of the highest market shares we’ve ever had for a Nintendo launch at 45 percent,” said GameStop president Tony Bartel. “We were excited about market share.”
But he added, “I think there have been reports that the numbers are lagging from what the expectations were in the U.S., and I think our results will be in line with that.”
“In [fiscal] Q2 [ending July], we do expect we will fall slightly short of what we expected. We were excited at the launch, but in Q2 we believe it will slightly lag [behind] our expectation,”

Nintendo Wii: Nintendo eShop Cards Are Now Live Say Goodbye To Nintendo Points!
It appears as though Nintendo has begun phasing out Nintendo Points and are instead going live with their eShop cards which can now be used to purchase games on the Wii Shop Channel. The eShop cards will also be used for purchasing games on the Nintendo 3DS eShop which is due to launch June 6th in the United States and June 7th in Europe.
A new eShop Card will take its place, to be used for all three systems. As the 3DS download service introduces the mysterious concept of pricing its games in actual monetary value, these cards will follow the same idea. However, redeeming them on the Wii and DSi will still convert their dollar value to Wii Points and DSi Points
