Nintendo 3DS: Japan Gets 3D TV Shows On The Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo has announced that it’s partnering up with Fuji Television and Nippon Television to bring full 3D television shows to the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. This new service which is called “Itsu no Ma ni Terebi” and will go live tomorrow. The service uses SpotPass to automatically download new 3D television content to your Nintendo 3DS. Although the content is free, it does comes with advertisements. By keeping your 3DS system’s Spot Pass feature turned on, you’ll get daily updates from the Spot TV service. Who’s hoping Nintendo will provide something similar here in the West?

      1. Yes pal, but I would like some games now, not in however many months time. Can’t wait for Mario Kart and Super Mario but they should of been ready earlier, like when the console was released or week or two after. Same old games on the shelves after weeks on sale.

  1. that’d be interesting and cool, but annoying.
p.s. legend of zelda just came out and no one has mentioned a thing about it

  2. I’m not aware of any TV shows that are filmed with 3D cameras here in the U.S. (except for some sports, maybe?). But, if this capability is possible, then I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to put 3D movies on the 3DS. 3D movies are much more prevalent here than any 3D television shows. As far as I know they haven’t done this yet.

  3. If they get it here, I could watch The Office. Sweet!
Does anyone know if it is streamed or downloaded, because it says is uses spot pass so it could be downloaded so you can take it on the go.
