Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines has told journalists that the company is always looking to make their games available on as many consoles as possible, as long as they’re graphically capable of running them. Bethesda clearly don’t have any development kits, as Hines pointed out that he knows absolutely nothing about the technical capabilities of the new system. What Bethesda franchise would you most like to see on Wii U?
“So to whatever extent new consoles fit with the kind of games we are making and support them technologically, we would certainly [try to release them for those systems.]
“The Wii wasn’t even an option – we would have to make wholesale changes to the games we were making on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC to make them work on Wi.”
“I honestly know nothing about the tech specs of the new platforms and whether or not they are a good fit for what we are making with say Rage and Skyrim and Prey 2.”
“If they are a good fit for the kind of games we are making then absolutely, we would look to put them out for those. But beyond that I can’t get into specifics.”

I would love to see Fallout on the Wii U.
I was thinking the same thing. Fallout on the WiiU would be great!
Well if the Wii U is as powerful as the PS3 then its still more powerful than the 360 right?
But I dunno. My problem is that Fallout 3, Oblivion and New Vegas were just a mess with glitches. (Fallout nearly being unplayable at times) And Bethestia seemed to have no intention of fixing them instead focusing on shoving out more DLC.
They said “50% – 60% more powerful than the [PS3 and 360] consoles”
Which is only the OPINION/ESTIMATE of a third-party developer, based on early development kits. Besides, it’s a stupid statement anyway. 50 to 60% more powerful than PS3 *and* the XBOX360? Uhm, those two consoles aren’t equal in power. Not even close. So to generalize like that is HIGHLY inaccurate, and makes me doubt the credibility and accuracy of the statement as a whole.
Of course it’s powerful enough- Nintendo told us that it’s at least more powerful than PS3 and Xbox. Not a whole lot, but it is better.
All games available for several platforms I buy on 360. I love Nintendo and all, but I mostly buy Nintendo games only for my Nintendo consoles, mostly. I would love to play Skyrim on Wii U, but I’m not planning on waiting a year or so longer. It’s a damn shame :/
i vote fallout on wii u

Well, if they don’t have dev kits, then it will be awhile before we get a game, even Skyrim. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t set up Skyrim for Wii U at all.

Ah it’s so nice to see that third party developers seem excited to give Wii U their support. If the Wii U does as well as people think and there is a lot of 3rd party support on top of that, then I have a few predictions about the next generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft:
Sony’s PS4 will probably be built to be a lot more powerful than the Wii U, because they always have to do that. Then it’ll be able to play Blu-Rays or whatever the current thing is. It will have the same controller as the past 3 consoles had and will probably later come out with a tablet controller to mimic Nintendo (much like with the Move). The downside will be that there aren’t many 1st party games to go off of and it’s possible that a lot of 3rd party games will be already on Wii U so the only ones who would buy it will be people who religiously play Sony’s 1st party games. That still wouldn’t be too worth it because it would probably come out costing $700-900 at launch and having few good exclusive games.
Then there’s Microsoft’s XBox720, which will likely sport yet another nearly-plagiaristic hodgepodge of other systems’ controllers, a bunch of FPS games that are available for another system, internet play you have to pay for, a bunch of add-ons that will make it seem almost as good as the PS4 and actually cost more money in the long run, and another exaggerated rip-off of other people’s ideas that’s gonna get milked to death as if it were Halo.(I’m talking about the Kinect on that one if you didn’t notice)
Probably just a pipe dream, I admit, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if Nintendo buried the competition like they did with Sega all those years ago. The only difference i would be able to see is that Sony/Microsoft’s “icon” characters (whoever they may be) won’t wind up getting whored out to Nintendo and the next competition’s consoles with bad, gimmicky games like Sonic did. (Don’t get me wrong though, there were a few good Sonic games after Sega stopped making consoles but it’s mainly remembered for being bad and gimmicky nowadays)
Judging Bethesda based on one of/their only (not quite sure) Wii game, I’m not sure Bethesda making games for a Nintendo console is a good thing.
Yes, I’m looking at you, Wheelspin. What was the average review score again?
i’d love to play skyrim on wii u
