A fact sheet apparently handed out during a Nintendo event in the Netherlands shows that Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS appears to have been delayed until 2012. The game was originally scheduled to be released sometime this year according to Nintendo Europe, but this could have changed. Whether the fact sheet is legitimate is anyone’s guess, but it will be a massive blow if true.
Edit: Just spoke to the Nintendaan who confirmed it to be true.
Tip: Noticias Ninty
Not bothered really. If it needs more time in development (in interviews, it didn’t seem very finished), then I’m all for the extra polish that it deserves.
You misunderstand, leomckitten. If it’s delayed in Europe only, they aren’t holding it back to polish it. The game will be finished already. They just won’t be releasing it in that territory.
Perhaps they are trying to squeeze in more language options, if not, then obviously they see some sort of marketing advantage in delaying it.
Assuming this is all true.
Wha…? Originally thought to see it this summer, then late this year. Now, this? It’s going to be a long wait.
Well, in the meantime, you Europeans can enjoy The Last Story, Xenoblade, and Pandora’s Tower. And then you’ll still get Kid Icarus eventually. Yeah, I don’t feel sorry for you at all.
Which maybe the reason for the hold up.
Ouch. Lucky I’m in North America :D This is obviously my most anticipated game for the 3DS (Thus my screen name :P) Anyway, at least you’ll get the game eventually. North American Wiis will never see the big three JRPGS.
i agree with everything u said
WHAT!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! that means they may delay it here in America…
p.s its kinda funny how starfox is a flying game and its coming out on 9/11
9/11 is NOT funny.
i know that its funny coz a FLYING GAME is being released then… well maybe more ironic
Yeah, I mean come on Nintendo. When deciding a release date for a game that involves flying and blowing stuff up, to pick 9/11 is… stupid. (for lack of a better word)
9/11 is hilarious and the American’s deserved it. Go Osama Go! Awesome!
Trolololol
lol XD LMAO
Figures. Got any good ‘nintendo-related’ news for me, sickr? 2011 is ending up limp. And 6 or 7 dollar-ish 3d urban champion will not count as good news!
Well I’m happy to announce that SolatoRob is coming to the United States later this year. I’m playing through the PAL version and it’s absolutely brilliant.
This better be some sort of sick joke. Kid Icarus was one of the few reasons I bought a 3DS. Nintendo said launch. Then Launch Window of 3 months. Now sometime next year. Absolutely ridiculous. They better actually bring some other games out first for the 3DS. (cus I seriously doubt we are gonna get One Piece 3DS now after the Gigant Battle fiasco.)
Relax, we got Ocarina, DoA, SSFIV, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars (amazingly underrated by the way), and we are getting StarFox, Mario, Mario Kart and Revalations soon enough. Personally I don’t think it’s as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
This also means a delay for our SmashBrothers, right? :O
I’m in despair! Nintendo of Europe has left me in despair! DX
Kid Icarus, since classic nintendo :) until now, with wings and arrow :)
I suspected it might be delayed when I saw the E3 conference. Their wording was starange. For each game they talked about they mentioned it would be released this year or next year, not specifying a region. But when they were talking about Icarus, they said it would be released in America this year, which made me think it was gonna be another Epic Yarn.
