Sega has stayed true to its promise and has released a teaser trailer for Sonic 4: Episode 2. Sadly the Wii isn’t listed as one of the platforms that game will be available for but if you own a Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or a smartphone then you’ll be able to get your dose of Sonic 4, which features a new graphic engine a new physics engine and features Tails.

I gave up on Sonic after they didn’t release Generations on Wii. Even if it doesn’t make it toi WiiWare(which is stupid considering the Wii has the most layal Sonci fans) I don’t care.

Sonic Generations is a huge return to form that I want more of that and not more of Sonic 4. Episode one was sluggish and the controls were nowhere as tight as the originals. Plus the level design was lackluster with not enough different paths. Generations on the other hand blended everything good in the old style with the speed of the newer sonic titles as well as nailing the level design and controls.
So I am not excited for this in the slightest, I would have been if sonic generations didn’t come out and thought this was the closest they would ever get to the great design from the start, but Generations outclassed it entirely and may have become my favourite Sonic title of all time.
I loved generations, I actually don’t like sonic, because of his bragging and annoyance, But i played this game at a friends house (he has a PS3 and loves Sonic) he would do the modern stages while I do the classic ones, it was fun

Um Sonic Colors? I think the main reason Sonic 4 isn’t for Wiiware is because Nintendo has a rule that wiiware games can only be a very small size so Sonic 4 Ep 2 probably can’t fit on it. I would expect the game for the Wii U or 3DS

I don’t think they are, For the Wii anyway. They have already proven that they are with the 3DS and Wii U. But after this long without a change, I don’t expect them to start for just one game

oh god your like the biggest nintendo fanboy ive ever seen. and no Nintendo doesnt have relations with any other developer except for 2nd party ones. cause you know what happens with third party relations? they fuck it up. back in 94 Squaresoft was making FF7 and they told nintendo that it was gonna need multiple discs to play and Nintendo was like “mmkay” and then the 64 came out with cartridges and Square had to switch over to sony.
I think the reason why it won’t be on Wii, like Sonic CD, is because of Nintendo’s 40 MB (?) limit space for downloads on the Wii.
If anything, blame Nintendo for that. If you’re a Wii-only owner, not only are you getting screwed out of Sonic CD, but with this game as well! Ya, Nintendo needs to hurry up with that Wii U!

if its not on Wii then sega can go suck a dick. they released part 1 on Wii, how dare they not release part 2, 3, 4 and possibly 5 on Wii?! though knowing how long it took episode 2, the next episodes would come out by the time RE7 and KH3 would come out.
May have just decided not to release it on Wii U as they think it could get overshadowed when Wii U comes out…?
Unless Sega are saving this Game for the Wii U which I believe is likely, I don’t see why they shouldn’t release this on the Wii. They released episode 1 on WiiWare and that got the highest score from Metacritic than any other version did. (Wii got 81/100, PS3 got 74/100, X360 got 72/100 and iPhone got 70/100)

People are right to be upset seeing as the first episode did come out on the Wii so it’s not like the system couldn’t handle 2. If it turns out that it really ISN’T coming out then I, at least. want to see a decent reason why. When Sega released Episode 1 on the Wii people took it as a sign that that system was one they would develop further episodes for. You can’t blame people for feeling mislead.

Here is your problem: You are assuming that people are necessarily choosing not to own more than one console. People may have many reasons for not having the luxury of owning every console.
I, like many others maybe, do get sick of people who make a point to mention that they own every console because it does come off as a bit elitist even if you don’t mean any harm by it. There ARE many who have used it in the past as a way of claiming some sort of high ground when it comes to opinions as though it automatically makes one less biased or gives what they say more value.

It’s rather odd that it’s not listed for Wii. You’d think they’d release the rest of a series on the consoles it came out on. Maybe the Wii sales just weren’t enough for them to vouch for making it for it again.
Ah well, I own all three systems, so I’ll get it anyways. I love Sonic! Hopefully they end up putting it on Wii in the end!
I find it odd as well. Unless the game requires a lot of memory, I can not see why they not bring this to Wii.
It probably is going to require a lot more memory than Episode 1 because of the new graphics and physics engine. I mean, they already had to change the music for the wii version for episode 1, so even a little more would push the game over the wiiware limit
I am hoping that Sega just neglected to mention the Wii and/or they haven’t yet confirmed a Wii U version. After getting Episode 1 Sega really should be obliged to follow through with giving us Episode 2 rather than leave players hanging. They already neglected the Wii with Generations even though it wouldn’t have been that hard to adapt the engine used for Colours. I mark a lot of this down to Sega’s poor release planning.
