This months edition of the Official Nintendo Magazine contains plenty of Animal Crossing information for the Nintendo 3DS. The information appears to be a mix of new and old, but it’s still worth a read regardless. Nintendo has yet to announce a release date for Animal Crossing 3DS but the game is still scheduled for release sometime later this year.
- Add benches, street lamps, and more to make the villagers happier
- Secretary will help you out
- The secretary is a new character in the Animal Crossing series
- Secretary looks somewhat like a dog, is clumsy
- “chatting with her may be one of the game’s highlights”
- Secretary walks around with a clipboard sometimes
- She’ll point out town areas that look good or may need work
- Design every aspect of your house; even the design of the mailbox and type of color fencing
- Redesign the inside, too
- Can still buy/place/arrange furniture
- Not limited to particular furniture designs
- Take your furniture to a special upholsterer shop to have it recolored and redesigned
- Separate top and bottom outfit designs
- Layout of the village is “said to be a lot bigger this time than ever with many separate sections”
- Beach is a larger area that you walk down a cliffside path rather than just being a patch of sand
- Swim in the sea, walk barefoot across the sand
- Check the railroad and see what’s beyond them
- You’ll find The Mall past the rail tracks that has tons of shops and model homes
- The model homes are empty, but they’ll give you an area of how you can style your own home
- Each time you walk pass someone with StreetPass enabled, their own house will be added to the collection of model homes
- Tom Nook is in charge of the model homes
- Mystery island found near the beach

I’m glad they’re finally adding a lot more in the game… Wii version was almost like DS Wild World. It was so annoying.

You should buy an xbox it’s for more mature REAL gamers. I heard it’s going to be six times more powerful than the already current x-box plus it will have voice enabled technology,apps,vevo,utube,hulu plus,better online community including protection against hackers, dvr, blu-ray, and a tablet andriod controller with built in kinect. The wii u is just a wii with a hd controller that has a tinted yellow screen similar to urine. Also the games are getting to over milked and stale not even mentioning the fact that the level of challenge,content and playablity are design with kids in mind; thats not even talking about the horrific online experience that it delivers which makes the wii feel like your playing with a bot rather than an online person. Also xbox reduces the price of their games within a year but hey if you like wii it’s ok,I understand that some unfortunate gamers don’t have the luxary of playing with advance technology.

David, go advertise the Xbox somewhere else. Nintendo designs games for EVERYONE, and what you hear, some of them are rumours only… And how are violent game more mature? It’s a way to pass time playing CoD, but I’d rather play a more entertaining NON-VIOLENT game from Nintendo which may just be funner :/
How is xbox for mature gamers? It’s mostly violence. Yea, they have an M rating, but a ton of xbox owners are kids.. I don’t think there is anything wrong with xbox, but I still think any Nintendo system is better. No.. the Wii U is not even close to the same as the Wii. Obviously you didn’t even look it up or anything. It does use the wiimote, ect still, but it’s not the same. It’s supposed to have graphics that are as realistic as the xbox/ps3. But most Nintendo fans don’t really care (graphics don’t make a game good and they don’t have to be realistic to be good). You have no idea what you’re talking about. Nintendo games aren’t made with kids in mind… Have you even played a recent Nintendo game 100%? It doesn’t sound like it. Not every thing is difficult, but there are difficult parts. And the easier levels/sections are fun still. What yellow tint? And if your urine is yellow, you should go to the doctor. Did you even play any games online? My favorite part of Mario Kart Wii (and 7) is playing online. It’s nothing like playing with a bot.. and there are no 8 year olds cussing on the wii.
Umm not everyone wants an xbox instead of a wii. I don’t. I would take an xbox for free or something, but I would never pick it over my Wii or the Wii U. From what I’ve seen, xboxes aren’t very well made anyway. My brother had 2 360s that both got the “red ring of death” and he had to send them to be fixed. Actually Animal Crossing is a good game for those who like this series and I’m pretty sure Animal Crossing is trying to be it’s own game not trying to copy Sims, and the thing is it’s not Sims, to me it’s better I don’t like Sims at all, Animal Crossing is relaxing and has more personality but it’s okay to have an opinion and there’s nothing wrong with liking a game or not liking a game but there is no reason to leave a loud idiotic comment here honestly, nothing wrong with putting your opinion on here but what you did was just annoying and unnecessary you just trashed a game on a site where probably a lot of it’s fans are reading about it, how would you like it if someone did that on a site for one of your favorite games?

That’s what I thought! I never really had a DS system until the 3DS. (I unwisely got a DSi December of 2010 then FINALLY got news about the 3DS in May so I then traded in the DSi.)
