Who Killed Banjo Kazooie Developer Rare?

Online gaming publication Eurogamer has written an interesting piece detailing the slow decline of Rare as one of the world’s top development studios. The article has plenty of interviews with various key developers and ponders whether it was Microsoft who killed Rare, or Nintendo by letting the veteran developer go. Who do you think ruined Rare?

      1. I have to disagree at the part when you said that Nintendo was forced to sell the other half. The whole market system is one big game, which you have to learn how to play your cards better than the others. Now, if I was Yamauchi back then, I would have stayed with the 49%, AND still cover Microsoft’s offer. Probably the GameCube could’ve been a better console if there was more Conker and Banjo-Kazooie. I know I’m being hypothetical here, but the thing is: market is a game of risks. And considering just how well the Nintendo + Rare combo was, I think it was worthy to pay the ammount they wanted. In my opinion, Yamauchi was one of the responsibles for Rare’s death.

        1. Given how things played out in reality, it seems Nintendo was actually better off letting them go. We’ll never know, though.

I blame Nintendo for not allowing the N64DD to be popular. They freaked out at the headlines in Japan and that was that or otherwise if Nintendo ironed out the details and released the 64DD they would’ve been ahead of the pack.

A lot of these game companies and developers only look at brief headlines so if the site’s writer is biased for or against a game company the corporate think tank will only see it that way not looking at the finer details.

In fact Most of this generation since the 1960s had struggled with reading and writing where as in the 1930s/40s and even 50s America was up on top of the education pole and it was the place to go to such a point there wasn’t enough housing after the 2nd great war.

That’s when a lot of schools used mobile trailers because of a lack of classroom space.

Now we have plenty of class room space but not enough teachers so we have a ratio of 1 to 25 in a room of 30.

      1. dude, you’re an idiot, I’m guessing you’ve never heard of the virtualboy…

also, everything (gaming wise) sony has made is also pretty fail… seeing as most of it has been a knock off of something someone else has made…

      1. Microsoft destroyed everything they got thier grubby fat fingers on

they cant even make a decent OS so why the hell people love thier console is beyond me

the damn thing breaks every year >.<

        1. My friends xBox broke last week, his SECOND xbox. He is so pissed and has so many games he can’t play.

Microsoft told him it was just outside of warranty, and he was sent dusty shitty parts the first time it broke. :/

        2. Neither can I. It’s not the cheapest (a year of Live and you’ve already spent more than a PS3), not the most powerful, narrow selection of exclusives (with only 3-4 different genres, as opposed to Nintendo/Sony’s 10+ different genres), and it’s unreliable. The only reason people get 360’s is because their friends have one; only reason their friends have one is because it was the cheapest HD console at launch. Sony missed a grand opportunity to beat Microsoft by releasing the PS3 expensive; sure they have a lot of sales now, but they could have taken away millions of now-XBOX owners…

          1. They didnt really have a choice though

Ps3 was crammed with exspencive Hardware and new technology
tis the only reason it was soo exspencive

the 2 systems are running neck and neck atm in sales
America is the only country that 360 is doing well in
Europe and Japan prefer the ps3

Japan’s sales make me laugh they barely sell more than 1000, 360’s a week xD
            talk about embarassing
the japanese probably only by them to strip them down for spare parts for other things lol

as for American sales its a safe bet that most of those weekly buys are replacement consoles for owners of broken systems
and they only keep buying 360’s because they have amassed a large collection of games

          2. Heck yeah!! I bought a XBOX 360 & regret it to the fullest. No exclusives in a gen where over 80% of 3rd party games sucked. I found myself more bored throughout this gen then any other generation ever. I kept thinking is it video games that are getting bored or is it my XBOX 360.

      2. come on, be realiatic.
rare just wasnt as good as it was back in the 90s

even theyre StarFox game was crap compare to the greatness theyre other games were, yes some people like it, but it wasnt a masterpiece. rare just wasnt rare without the staff they lost.

        1. Disagree. Star fox adventures was fantastic. it may not fit well with the (albeit small and barely definable) star fox canon, but I still thought it was great fun and it received excellent reviews.

                  1. this website is for nintendo news so if you are going to be like a bitch complaining about how you think nintendo sucks just
post on some other site and how good exactly are the 3 or 4 games microsoft makes a month compared to the 3 or 4 games nintendo makes a year

                  2. You my friend are thinking way too hard. Real Nintendo fans just have a good taste in games with good gameplay, good storylines, and good music. Games like Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, and Earthbound are what appeal to hardcore gamers, and most of us aren’t even into games like Wii Fit or Wii Sports or Wii whatever. Its sad how people think of us like this. Plus Nintendo girls always go for us, and they can be pretty damn hot…so deal with it.

                2. STFU U MULTIPLE ACCOUNT BITCH WE ALL KNOW ITS U SICKR U WITH UR FUCKING BIASED CURROPT WORDPRESS YEAH AM MAD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT OH YEAH YOUR WHIT U AINT DOING SHIT PUSSY BTW I LIKE FUCKING WHITW GIRLS AND MAKING THEM COME TO THE DARKSIDE!

            2. You obviously started gaming during the gamecube era, and i agree with sunshine and melee (hell i prefer melee over the original and brawl) but we are talking about rare, they are not the jaggernut they use to be post N64, star fox for the GC was good, but nothing close to their classics. everything after that was pretty much crap.

          1. peteriuss says that he would never buy any Sony product, yet what make is his laptop? Also it has a microdick operating system.

            I loved that game.

        2. Star Fox Adventures wasn’t even suppose to be Star Fox nor was it complete. They released basically what they had and added star fox characters and themes. I’d say that the game was pretty good for an incomplete game with the wrong characters in it.

          1. It fits with a set of words I’ve heard in different reviews of the game: It’s a good game, just not a good Star Fox game.

    1. MICROSOFT IS KILLING THE FUCKING PLAYSTATION AND THE XBOX IS INTEGRATING WITH PC AND HAVE APPS LIKE APPLE. THE SONY FAGS THOUGHT THEY WERE SHIT BUT LIKE I SAID BILL GATES HAS USES 1OOO TO WIPE HIS ASS. SONY FAGGOTS ARE NOW LEARNING WHY THE XBOX WILL RULE. PC AND MICROSOFT WILL WIN TO BAD THE WII U SOO UP YOUR ASSES TO RELIZE IT. HOW LONG CAN MIYAMOTO KEEP IT UP THAT OLD QUEER LOST IT ONLY RETARDS PRAISE HIS GARBAGE:ALL HIS GAMES R FUCKING BORING AS FUCK. FUCK NINTENDO THOSE COWARD ARE HIDING IN THEIR PAST ”ACCOMPLISHMENT” KNOWING THEY NOW SUCK. XBOX FTW U WEEABOO QUEER AM GALD GOD KILLED THEM WITH TSUNAMI TO BAD HE FAILD TO KILL MIYAMOTO AND HIS FAMILY

  1. Microsoft. Rare was on the downfall when they left Nintendo but it wasn’t till it was with Microsoft when the company really went to the pitts.

  2. Definatly Microsoft. I was always an avid fan of Rareware ( I dare not call them Rare, they’re not the same company in my eyes.) and although Nuts & Bolts was an okay game, it was NOT a Banjo-Kazooie game. Ever since they joined Microsoft they’ve been steadily declining, from censoring Conker’s Bad Fur Day, to just creating bad sequels of much-loved franchises.

Amazing contributors to the games that we all know and love, Grant Kirkhope, Robin Beanland etc, from asking questions on twitter they’ve said that since Rareware joined Microsoft, it just wasn’t the same. I’m glad that they moved onto other game projects, like Kingdoms of Amalur.

And essentially now that Rare just makes things like Kinect Sports, it’s a studio full of Microsoft’s lackeys, that claim the history of Rareware as their own. It’s a touchy subject for me, as I feel that Microsoft has ruined one of my greatest childhood developing studio.

    1. I think Microsoft did that on purpose, they knew they make good games and they wanted to make the games worse.
Banjo-Kazooie, for instance, make a bad sequel, ok, but why they don’t make another one? Why they have to make stupid shitty Kinect games? What were they thinking!?

    1. Grant Kirkhope recently worked on the music for Reckoning: Kingdoms of Amalur, it’s available to pre-order in Europe now, and it’s out in America right now, It’s a great game, but I was gonna buy it just for his composing.

    2. Ya, that game was pretty fun (my cousin is the one who introduced me to it; once I got over the fact that it looked like a game made for 5 year olds, I found it a pretty good game).

          1. That’s why they bought Retro to fill the gap left over from rare. We must have faith that Nintendo’s new plan of attack with the Wii U will be successful and that they bring new games quickly to market, but I really don’t see that happening as the games are now in HD. But I can hope they become #1 again!!

  3. How dare you put Nintendo as one of the suspects on this atrocity! Obviously Microsoft put his evil and capitalistic tentacles over Rare and destroy the best developer studio in the world. Nintendo play his part as a passive agent by leeting this happens

      1. I KNOW I WANT A NEW ONE SO BAD!CRY CRY CRY!OO AND F MICROSOFT!THEY DESTROY EVERYTHING!THEY MESSED UP COMMAND AND CONQUER 2!FREAKN BILL SOMEONE THE SMACK THAT FOOL!

  4. both!
after a lot of years of making epic games, Nintendo took Rare’s “Dinosaur Planet” and BAM! screw it up. Rare’s bad work on StarFox Adventures is Nintendo’s fault.

now, Microsoft has been sucking power and creativity from Rare very slowly… i’ve played some Rare games on Xbox. they’re good, but not epic like with Nintendo.

and look on the brightside! Nintendo has Retro Studios, just as epic as Nintendo & Rare in the good old days :)

  5. Rare created its own path of ruin. Leaving nintendo was just a terrible choice on there part, can’t really blame nintendo. Nintendo Expected them to stay, they were doing so good there, diddy kong racing, bandjo kazooie, 007 and etc but they made the choice and became greedy when microsoft oftered more money. To me I think nintendo knew that with their leaving it was going to hurt them in the end….. and it has. (Just look at what they done in mircosoft, almost nothing).

  6. Rare worked for Nintendo

Epic Game after Epic Game after Epic Game

    Rare started Working for Microsoft

Butchered every title they had and then screwed up all the new ones

Nintendo should have tried to keep rights to Banjo and Kazooie before Rare left
because that Xbox one was god damn aweful >: (

and dont get me started on Perfect Dark, Grrrrrrr

  7. None of them, rare was already going downhill by the time they left nintendo, with their slow development of average games, also, nintendo found retro studios to compensate so its all good :p, rare just killed themselves, external companies have nothing to do with it.

  8. Microsoft clearly destroyed Rare, but it was really Rare who killed themselves over when they went over to Microsoft; should they have stayed with Nintendo, Nintendo would’ve had amazing games like Conker at their side. More than likely, it would’ve should’ve could’ve been great. Rare is to blame.

  9. Rare’s production were going down before Microsoft bought it, but not matter their games aren’t as great as they were, their humour has always been present. You need only 5 minutes of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts to realize this.

  10. I think Nintendo letting Rare go kinda killed them in the transition and Microsoft not using Rare to it’s full extent also killed them. Overall, the fact that Rare (even before it was given to Microsoft when it was making games for the GameCube) just wasn’t as good at making non-N64 games was also a major factor in the death of a once beloved company.

  11. hehe listent to a joke that a friend told me.

To protect microsoft from devastation,we MUST buy all of the third party developers and first p.d of all over the world and create the greatest xbox!! lolz
before nintendo will kick microdicks ass.

  12. Microsoft killed RARE Nough said! I obt hope that RARE and Nintendo will join forces and correct this mess again one day soon!

    1. hey me 2.I WANT RAREWARE BACK.if they do that the wiiu would be more powerfull than ps4 and it will have the greatest game including zelda games, banjoo etc etc etc

    1. NINTENDO NEEDS ALSO THE MOST TALNTED GAME DEVELOPERS WHO WERE WORKING AT RAREWARE AND THEY WERE FIRED! please god make it happen, bring us rare and the game developers back!

  13. PEOPLE LISTENT! if u want rare back the first of all nintendo must find the most talent game developers who they fired from rare.i meen some davelopers at rare were fired by microdick and they were the most talent including the stamper bro.thats why rare is usless now.sorry about the usless i love rare too.

      1. sorry* my bad but u can understand me a litlle. i am not trolling u just want rare back. i remeber the old goodie days.i was playing 64 and my first game was ocarina of time and the secondary dk 64

    1. the xbox 720 will fail.the wiiu will be the secondest powerfull console in next generation.(ps4 will be more powerfull than wiiu but wiiu will be more powerfull than 720) i just know because microsoft creates bullshit consoles. 360 was epic fail dont ya remember people?

    1. Oh shit. Another,
“Sickr!!!! Why did you post this?? You should only post real news!! Can I run your site for you? Can I be you’re sidekick Sickr?! Afterall, I’m smarter than you!!

I’m aging quickly by letting these dumbass know-it-alls stress me out more than I should let them.

      1. The misleading paragraph is horrible. I’m not saying it isn’t newsworthy or a good read, but he says there’s “debate” in the article about whether it was Nintendo or MS that “killed” Rare. There isn’t. I’m just giving the facts.

  14. Microsoft just want money.
Rare and Nintendo and some other companies actually care about their customers, and unfortunately they’re suffering for it.

    1. Of course they’re suffering for it because of their broken fanbases. From Zelda to Pokemon, the purists are slowly destroying their beloved franchises.

  15. I think Microsoft killed Rare they hav so many great games on the nintendo 64 super nes And nes! Thanks to microsoft we don’t have many of the awesome sequels we were supposed to have for gamecube and wii for example Conkers Bad Fur Day great game! Rare had a sequel for it but Microsoft cancelled it why? Cause their pussies by now we couldve played that amazing game on gamecube or even wii!!!!!

  16. When Tim & Chris Stamper (founders) left Rare that was the moment Rare became pretty useless… So Nintendo made the right choice at the right time to sell it off.

      1. Please explain…? The brothers Stamper were the ones who were onthe forefront of all the great games mentioned above, after they left…. Viva Pinata…

      2. Nope he’s right. Rare was a sinking ship. I’m surprised they didn’t leave sooner, seeing how they had little to no influence over the company.

  17. I’ve often thought that if enough of the original staff got together and approached Nintendo with a good game idea it could be great.

  18. Rare dissolved itself because the top staff gradually left them to head for other companies. All that´s left of Rareware is a bunch of people with no connection to the glorious developer that Rare was back in the day. Neither Nintendo or Microsoft is to blame, but you could still wonder if perhaps this would not have happened had Nintendo never sold Rare to Microsoft.

  19. I’m gonna have to say Microsoft, and Rare themselves. I don’t see why they’d give themselves to a relatively new company with little experience where their talent would clearly be wasted, when they could’ve stayed with Nintendo, where most of their critical acclaim spawned from. It’s pretty clear to me that since they’ve been under Microsoft’s name they’ve not been producing anything near as good as what they used to (They’re work on the SNES was very ahead of it’s time, the N64 games had fantastic gameplay and charm, but then it goes downhill to BK:N&B, and again to stuff that’s, comparatively soulless, such as Kinect Sports).
In my opinion, the only way they could possibly save their best loved franchises would be to hand over the rights to a Company such as Retro Studios, who have already done a great job bringing back Donkey Kong Country. I feel certain they’d make sequels to Rare’s classics better than the current company ever could now.

  20. Admittedly, I was a huge Rare fan back when they were in their prime (around the late 90s, when I was 9-10 years old) and pretty much loved all the games they made as a second party developer with Nintendo, but now, after all these years, when I go back to those games and re-evaluate them, a lot of them just don’t live up. It’s not that they haven’t “aged well” it’s just a lot of them aren’t very good period (Donkey Kong 64, Perfect Dark) and I would list them as some of the most overrated games in history, if it wasn’t for Rare being totally obscure now, which makes their games underrated now. How ironic.

I still love the Donkey Kong Country series though, I don’t understand the hatred it gets from some publications. But Retro Studios did it better anyway :p

  21. I’ll tell you who killed Rare, the elitist whiny nostalgia blind shit heads that keep telling me Nuts & Bolts sucked without giving me any good reason. No, the whole “they turn3d 1t 1nt0 v3Hicl3 bu1ld1ng” complaint is a petty excuse and a bunch of crybaby antics. I want an actual creditable critique.

    1. I’ll attempt a creditable one. I enjoyed the game-play of it, but I think a lot of fans were expecting a Banjo Kazooie follow-up, platformer, adventure, puzzles etc, perhaps with more story sustenance as well rather than Banjo vs Gruntilda in vehicles. Which is not to say that all sequels in a game series should be exactly the same, things get stale that way. But they could’ve done a lot with next-gen graphics and new game engines.

What they did do on Nuts & Bolts was great, the gameplay, the visuals, the humour and vehicle building was great fun. If it was the first Banjo Kazooie game I played, I wouldn’t have anything bad to say about it.

    2. Also I don’t think it’s fair to blame people that didn’t enjoy the game, you can’t convince them to like it, just like they can’t convince you to dislike it.

      1. Except I haven’t found anyone who didn’t enjoy the game that wasn’t just a completely shallow person that gave their arguments in a manner that didn’t make them look like ignorant haters.

Plus considering that Microsoft forced the company into developing Kinect garbage solely after that game didn’t sell, I think I have the right mind to suspect ignorant hatedoms for the reason why more developers don’t take such big risks like these in the industry nowadays.

        1. You only congratulate people AFTER their risks have paid off, NOT because they actually took a risk. Anybody who’s got courage can take a risk, but the ones who are worth congratulating are the ones who succeed with those risks. Yeah, Nuts and Bolts was a big risk. But it didn’t pay off, because it only captured the bare surface of Banjo Kazooie, but the things that made Banjo Kazooie so good in the first place was all shoved to the side for some vehicle building that could have easily been made for another original game. The vehicle building just didn’t belong at all.

  22. Rare should have never sold out to Microsoft. A lot of their staff were already leaving at that point, the company just fell by the wayside. And as a lot of people have pointed out already, Retro Studios has filled their shoes well.

  23. I think RARE commited suicide.
When they moved to microsoft they got lazy, and then microsoft putted them to make games for kinect, at this point we can blame microsoft or nintendo for letting it go.
But one day Rare finally announces a new Banjo-Kazooie game, I coud hardly wait and when we got our hands on the game it was a piece of CRAP… they’ve lost their touch, that’s it.

  24. One word.. Kinect

I believe that there are many factors, but Microsoft just doesn’t have the audience for the 3d platformers rare made so well.
It sickens me to see my once favourite gaming company being told by Microsoft to develop for Kinect… What a waste.
It’s almost as if they bought them out of pure spite to kill competition.

  25. I think they should’ve been developing for more platforms, not just Nintendo or XBOX. They should’ve made games spanning all three (when possible) or did a PS3 version for those too advanced for the Wii. It also doesn’t help they didn’t seem to make any games worth mentioning for a while. I do love Viva Pinata (one of the few games I have for XBOX) but really, they could be doing more.

I can’t place the blame on Nintendo or Microsoft though, I’d say that Rare had a hand in their own demise. But really, is Rare just done? I’ve heard nothing of them at all….

      1. Remember Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Golden eye and all the N64 classics?

Microsoft bought it and killed rare into it’s grave…. Microsoft is making rare make Wii sport’s copys called Kinect sports.

  26. People fail to understand the games the come out today take way bigger staff to make and rare didn’t really grow like that as a company thats why they can only develop one game at a time I agree Nuts and Bolts sucked but a company can have 1 bad game its not like its the end for them

  27. Nintendo were the muse IMO. I can’t believe Microsoft could bugger them up so completly. Something was clearly lost when Nintendo was no longer their babysitter. The ‘markets’ and ‘The industry’ are blamed for everything, it’s a crap excuse companies use to hide the fact they got it wrong. Recession this and greater competition that.

If it werent broke you dont fix it, simples. Rare was put on a new path and then chose a new drection, it failed. We can saygames need bigger teams and all that nonsense, but they are owned by microsoft who have plenty of cash to throw at worthwhile projects. and you’d think at such a precious company with such an amazing history.

So it’s either loosing Nintendo or bad decisions, it has little to do with a changing games industry…Not when the could make a BK game just like the originals and not even more graphically superior and it would sell like crazy. Bad choices.

  28. Just think Killer Instinct for Wii U! Wow, If Nintendo bought back rare just for the games they have in their portfolio? Hell even Crusi’n usa with next gen graphics? Again WOW!!!

  29. It’s like this:

Microsoft came to Nintendo with a giant bag of torture tools for Nintendo to use. Nintendo then made the first stab into Rare. Microsoft later then skewered the bitch out of Rare. Finally, Rare, not wanting to live anymore, plunged the last knife into its head, leaving itself brain dead, but still considered “alive”. My blame is mostly for Microsoft, but Nintendo is partly to blame for selling Rare in the first place.

Honestly, it doesn’t matter much now. Retro is a good replacement. And although Silicon Knights is no longer contracted with Nintendo, I’d like to think their currently developing “most-requested-IP” is unquestionably for Nintendo. Namely, a certain sequel, we hope.

  30. Pokémon FireRed Liker

If you say Microsoft has destroyed Rare, then why are you using a Windows computer? -only for windows users- :P

  31. Though i do miss Rare and the games it gave to my childhood, the past is the past. Nintendo moved on and got a better (IMO) developers, like Retro Studio

  32. Foolish nintendo,
I think nintendo is stupid and they make some dumbass decsions, I think THEY KILLED him he did’nt die because the let him go this is friggin serious shit man.

    1. HEY!!!!! Don’t put the blame on Nintendo. Put the blame on Microsoft for killing Rare. If it weren’t for Rare’s decision making, their partnership with Nintendo would have been a whole lot brighter. Too bad that Rare have taken Microsoft’s bait and become nothing.

  33. I honestly don’t know who to blame. It’s easy to blame Microsoft because Rare’s downfall began to be noticed when they were making games for them, but at the same time, a lot of key employees starting leaving several years before Nintendo sold the company, which doesn’t leave much of a compelling argument against Nintendo. Microsoft wanted to bring much of the great titles that shaped the N64’s legacy: Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, and Conkers. They fully knew the pedigree of the company when they worked for the Big N. However, none of the titles for Microsoft’s platforms had the magic of their predecessors, mostly (in my opinion) because Rare was completely staffed with people that had none of the experience and discipline of the previous ones.

    1. i also believe that the loss of lic to program some of the big Ns franchise left a big hole in their company, that may have never been repaired.

  34. Rare could have a comeback in 2 ways release a new conkers bad fur day or re-release in HD and bring back Killer Instinct I mean Fighting Games are taking off so fast now if they re released killer instinct it would be so awesome that game had such a good combo system it kinda reminded me of Tekken mixed with Mortal Kombat i mean geez try to make some money by pleasing old crowds again trust me they will not dissappoint on either one!

  35. i thought the letting go of Rare was a foolish move. also kinda makes me think about when Square-soft (aka, Square-Enix) used to be good.

  36. Microsoft Killed Rare… they killed all the great games.

    Screw Microsoft!

Microsoft also copys everyone, and ruin all the good franchises.

I hate Windows too. I prefer the Commdore 64 set up which doesn’t require a tower and you could use on ANY TV. They had commodore 64 specific TV’s which we still have one as a secondary set that works.

We found the TV at Goodwill in the early 2000s for only 10 dollars because they thought it was broken but it just needed tuning and it worked like a charm.

GoodWill at least the ones around here dropped their electronics department sadly but back then it was fun finding stuff from the 1980s and early 90s there.

I got a Super Nintendo complete with 2 joypads for only 10 dollars hardly even used. Just a little bit of cleaning with a special kind of cleaner that was recommended and it worked like a charm and it still works today! :)

  38. i think nintendo should just buy rareware back because they would only be buying it for a fraction of what they sold it for originally and on top of that be making even more money think about how many hardcore gamers would be attracted and then how many casual gamers would follow up with that people would buy the 3ds or wii or possibly even the wii u just because of that i mean sure alot of people left rare but nintendo has the potential to work with the new rareware and create something that can truly be called a masterpiece like zelda or mario or kirby or metroid ect. games have been previously created before when i first saw nuts and bolts i was excited but when i played it i grew so angry at what they have done that i turned off my console and took the game back it hurt to have to see my favorite childhood game turned into something thats just plain unplayable i have dreamed of a new banjo kazooie game but i sometimes feel it to be impossible but i still post this because i beleive nintendo can not only earn the people they lost back but bring in even more people not only this game but every other game along side this could help makeup for their loss with the developement of the nintendo 3ds easily i mean nintendo is great!but lets face it nintendo would be even better and would be all about its customer and its fans if it did this i mean what do they have to lose from what they already gained in fact their still making a profit because they had originally sold it for four times as much as they would be buying it back!theres thousands even millions who dont even know about these petitions for them to bring them back who would buy a nintendo console of any kind just to play those games that rare had created alongside with nintendos masterpieces im just saying nintendo could be in a win win situation with this one if they decide to buy rareware back…
