Square Enix won’t be too pleased this week as it’s been revealed that Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance sales are down 80% from last week when the game officially launched in Japan. Without further ado, here’s the Japanese software and hardware charts:

And yet it’s still in the number 2 spot, beaten out only by Super Robot Wars.
I don’t know whether that says bad things for the Japanese game market, or good things for Kingdom Hearts. Either way, it says SOMETHING about the state of things over there…

I bet the sales went down because everyone is thinking there will be a Final Mix for it.
Surely it’s because everyone who wanted it got it during the first week of release? Don’t know why this is such a shocker. Wow, looking at those charts, 3DS is really really winning – 6 games in the top 10, and beating all the big consoles by a wide margin in the hardware charts. Wish I lived in Tokyo, would probably get 50 streetpass hits a day. :P
This means that every other game’s sales also went down.
I guess that’s why it’s called “Dream Drop”.
