Nintendo has registered some brand new trademarks which may be of some interest to you. Nintendo has registered a trademark for Voice Forum and they’ve also registered a trademark for Step Forum. It remains to be seen whether Nintendo actually does anything with them.

      1. You can try the other kind of voice chat.

        It’s called a phone.

        Your friend codes are phone numbers. Way more secure than actual friend codes.

        There, problem solved.

        1. I’d rather chat while playing a game than hold a phone in one hand and try to use my other hand to hold my 3DS…

            1. if voice chat happens
              Phone = pay monthly ,, casual games
              3DS = nothing ,, trad. and soft/hard core games

              WELCOME TO THE GAMING UNIVERSE AND INTERNET PLANET ,,

        2. thats funny because with most people it costs money the more minutes they use, and with in game voice chat, you can chat as long as you want! welcome to the world of online gaming sir!
