Wii U Launch Lineup Will Be “Very Rich”

The Wii U will launch with what Nintendo describes as extremely rich titles. Nintendo has always reiterated that they’ve learned their lesson with the Nintendo 3DS launch which was criticised by gamers and journalists alike. We will see the Wii U launch line-up for the first time at this years E3 event in June. Nintendo revealed earlier today that we will have to wait to hear information about the Wii U release date and pricing after the event.

  1. hlvablhveiprfbperfsjrhverierguehbguehbipbgpeubpiwu Suhweet!!!!!!! “Please Jesus, help me not to kill some little punk if they beat me to Gamestop to buy this. I will want to kill him or her, but please protect them and me…amen.”

  2. I get the feeling it will be. maybe not necessarily huge, but at least “rich” or varied wiht depth.

  3. So a sensible guess would be: The new 2D Mario they’re working on, Pikmin, Darksiders, Colonial Marines, a few ports, and possibly Rayman Legends. I hope its all of these. Mario and Aliens= Day 1 buy, especially if Digital purchase is cheaper.

  4. Here’s my predictions for launch:

-Aliens: Colonial Marines (Sega, Gearbox Software)
    -Assassin’s Creed III (Ubisoft)
-Batman: Arkham City – Ultimate Edition (Warner Bros., Rocksteady Studios)
    -Darksiders II (THQ, Vigil Games)
-Killer Freaks from Outer Space (Ubisoft)
    -Miyamoto’s New IP (Nintendo)
    -The New Mario Game (Nintendo)
-Ninja Gaiden III: Razor’s Edge (Tecmo Koei, Team Ninja)
    -Pikmin 3 (Nintendo)
    -Tekken (Namco Bandai)
-Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online (Ubisoft)

    1. I’m impressed at your predictions, Anon. The only thing we want to know from Miyamoto is what is the new IP for the U?

    2. So basicly, just about all what’s confirmed? :’)
I do think you’re right however, except I think Dragon Quest X will be ther too.

    1. Why the f*ck not? :P
Sure, what they need to focus most on are 1st and 2nd party games, but I wouldn’t mind mind a few ports either.
I would love Ni No Kuni to come on the Wii U, even games that aren’t appealing to alot of other people like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD would be promising.

  5. They should go for quality over quantity. Judging by the titles we already know are coming to the U, this seems to be a given. If that supposed Mario game that is coming to the U is packed in with the console like the original Super Mario Bros. was with the NES, and is as fun and replayable as that, they won’t be able to keep the U on the shelves. Add 4(or more) player co-op and online play to that and it’s over.

    Leave luck to heaven.

  6. Not announcing the price and date during E3? They’re daft. When, then? During some much lesser known press conference? They’re being stupid with that decision. What better time than during the biggest gaming event of the year? Ugh… the fools.
