GameTrailers have revealed their ten most anticipated games of E3 2012 and Nintendo’s unannounced Wii U games have come out on top. The list includes the usual suspects such as Assassin’s Creed 3 and Halo 4, but surprisingly Grand Theft Auto V is noticeably absent. What you do think of the list they’ve compiled?

10. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
9. Metro: Last Light
8. Hitman: Absolution
7. God of War: Ascension
6. Halo 4
5. Resident Evil 6
4. The Last of Us
3. Assassin’s Creed III
2. Tomb Raider
1. Wii U – The Entire Line-up

    1. They have been putting that in the list for a while now, but they decided not to because Sony keeps putting the game off. At the beginning of the video, they say that they didn’t put games they don’t expect to see at the show. Bioshock Infinite was confirmed not to be there, and GTA games are usually not there. Sony said they were unsure if The Last Guardian was going to be there, so GT decided to give the stops to other games.

    2. Dont be surprised of the ambitions “The Last Guardian” got pushed back to the more powerful PS4 (as in more powerful than the PS3).

        1. Well in that case you have to listen to the beginning of the video where they say they weren’t including anything they weren’t sure was coming to E3.

    1. they dont know the line up they are saying just the Wii U games that will be shown are the most anticipated

    2. They included the “entire” Wii U line up on one single spot. They know Pikmin 3 is going to be there, and GT has lots of Pikmin fans, including Shane who is basically the boss there. They simply put all of those game there.

  1. So the number one game is…a series of as yet unannounced games for a system we know relatively little about.

    …seems legit :3

  2. Nice call from GT. They have several Nintendo fans there, specially Pikmin fans. They just couldn’t put a single game for the Wii U because they know practically nothing, and they want to see all of its games in final form there. In their list every year, they always include the games we know little but enough down on the list, like spot 10, and the ones we know next to nothing is what they put higher up. The Wii U is something we know nothing in final from, and the guys over there want to see it.

The comments, however, are simply sad. And I’m not talking about opinions and stuff; the comments there are directly attacking GT’s choice for #1 and the Wii U. Those comments get lots of likes, similar to youtube, and the ones that agree with the list and #1 get dislikes. People don’t even listen to what the announcer says at the start of the video that they didn’t put games they don’t expect to see at the show on the list, yet people are complaining about The Last Guardian, GTA 5, Bioshock Infinite, etc. It’s really sad.

    1. Because most people didn’t even watch the video. They’re just trolls looking for a reason to rage.

      1. I finally understand the meaning of the word troll now, thanks! Anyway yeah they’re being a bit shortsighted, obviously gt doesn’t know what wii u games will be shown but they’re still games and not a console as so many of the commenters have stated. Who wouldn’t have the games from the first next gen console at the top of their list?

  3. sincerely, the chupacabra

The Last of Us should be 2nd, right under the all powerful god-like WiiU and its trailers. Iamrite. AC3? Nice, but still AC, meh’.

    1. They list their games by how much they know of them. They know more about The Last of Us than they do about AC 3 and Tomb Raider. That game was shown to the media and they wrote articles of how it plays. Shane recently played a demo that might be shown at E3 and he explained it in detail on this week’s episode of Invisible Walls. AC3 and TR are the ones they don’t know much about. That’s how they choose the spots for games.

      1. Man, there’s been enough out about AC3 that they should know. Yeah, maybe they don’t know the half-baked “Animus” story, but those are ridiculous. You’re an Assassin. You kill Redcoats, so you have some ties to the Revolutionaries. You’re going to have various weapons and climb treetops/ parkour houses. “But what’s Ben Franklin going to be doing?” I don’t know. Being Ben Franklin probably.

hatleast halo4 will be the greatest game in the whole gaming history and thats my last comment for that fail community-site

            1. no,i am a member of golden dawn χρυσή αυγή and ur a fucking rasist too because greece has the best history and now some other bad people are destroying it telling lies for example that greate alexander was from boulgary and not from macedonia u asshole!

              1. Great Alexander was a fag dude. Also you are taking the piss out of me for being english, rasist? You have warning email from sickr for rasist comments.

  5. sooo curious what their launch line up will be.
really hoping that they have a really solid nintendo first party game for launch. from the sounds of it, it sounds like they will, so that they don’t make the same mistake as they did with the 3ds.

  6. The entire spotlight is on Nintendo and rightfully so. This is their time. Don’t call it a comeback, they’ve been here for years. Leave luck to heaven.

    1. “Mama Said Knock You Out” reference FTW!!!!! I’m surprised the Wii U lineup of games are at #1 from GameTrailers. Just 9 more days…

      Now you’re playing with power!!!!

    2. It’s not really a community site though. Sickr posts news and we whine and argue in the comments 8D

    1. Cause Zelda could be a launch title…who knows. I’m looking forward to E3 2012. It’s gonna be the shit! NINTENDO is gonna kick ass and take names.

      1. is it that reggie?… i remember that iwata took reggie’s name once lol

  7. Not trying to troll here, I’m hyped for the Wii U too, but…what has been announced for the WiiU that isn’t a port from a different console? I assumed we were going to find out about all this at this year’s E3, which hasn’t happened yet. This list is strange.

    1. Well…Pikmin 3….That’s about it. And even then we haven’t seen any footage. I assume we’ll hear more at E3

  8. Atleast halo is new and original. Also halo outsells the metriod prime games …yup thats A Pwonage

    1. Why do people compare Halo and Metroid? They are completely different, comparing them makes no sense.

Also, Halo gets a boost in sales because it is one of the only exclusives for xbox, and because of its online multiplayer.

  9. well, it’s a call that many games websites wouldn’t make. But I’m stoked, E3 isn’t too far away. I’m 90% sure I’m not buying one more game for my Xbox, even with Wii U launch so far away.

  10. I had to reply back to that rabid graphics whore who doesn’t know jack sprat about the Wii U. I had the balls and say “Wii U has about the same techs as PS3 and 360?” LOL!!!!! This is hilarious!

  11. Etecoons and Dachoras

There’s too much mystery behind Nintendo’s Wii U as well as titles that are in development, mostly because of NDAs that are in place.

Honestly I’m expecting Wii U to get many awesome upcoming games, such as GTA V and RE6.

I do wonder if companies will bother bringing older PS3/360 ports to do the Wii U in some form, either retail or digital. I’d love to see the other Assassin’s Creed games, the first Batman Arkham Asylum game, Castlevania Lord of Shadows, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat, Tales of Vesperia, and many, many others. I’d love for this to happen, since, as a Nintendo-only kinda gamer, I missed out on many great third party games this gen.

  12. Who else is anticipating World Ends With You 2 for Wii U? Nobody seems to talk about it but Square already hinted for a sequel and the Wii U would be perfect for it with the dual screen possibility. I even think it could be a a system seller in Japan.
