          1. Yes. It does.

“Shovelware (sometimes also crapware or garbageware) is a derogatory computer jargon term that refers to software noted more for the quantity of what is included than for the quality or usefulness.”

I.E. Like I said, cookiecutter (or assembly-line, if you perfer that term) games that get churned out and have no real depth or substance, like I said the first time you dopey ponce. You can shut up now.

            Thanks champ ;)

                1. Day 1 purchase for me, getting pikimin 3(huge fan) and Rayman Legend that’ll be enough to hold me out for Assassin’s Creed, Batman and if they do it right I’ll also get Ninja Gaiden (also a huge fan, but never play the 3rd one)

                1. well you gotta have shovelwares to help sell the system as long there’s core games than im good, i believe there’s still more core games that havent been announce yet..

                  1. just another gamer

SSB and Zelda aren’t on that list (although they are still R&D) so i agree with you completely besides many third party companies will probably drop a bomb shell on release some more games. a little wait for the epics are fine with me i have Pikmin 3 until then

    1. If the Launch Window is, as Reggie put it, 3-4 months, doesn’t the holiday season come under that? So all of these games should be launch window right?

    2. Only problem is most of the good games are ports of games that are going be almost a year old.

People were QQing “port machine” when the vita launched and it has half the amount of ports this has.

      1. Which ones are ports other than Trine, Mass Effect, and Batman. (Not being a dick just wanna know which ones).

        1. well, pretty much every multiplatform game on the list is a port… but, those and ninja gaiden 3 are the only year old ports, which i personally don’t mind at all really.

          1. Well for some of us we only get to pick one system and some of us pick Nintendo, so some of us have never had a chance to play those games, Also some of them that are multiplatform have not been released yet so they are not ports, and finally some of the companies have said that the Wii U version of their game is the definate version, like the Aliens game.

            1. well don’t get me wrong, they will most likely be a lot better on the wii u, but for the time being, they are mostly ports because they are still getting used to the hardware.

        2. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a raethr sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

      2. Indeed. However I’m not one to count ports as a negative, especially if you haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing these games before.

  1. come on guys don’t tell me i’m going to have to wait for Pikmin 3! i was really hoping on playing it this holiday!

      1. maybe it’s because i’ve never tried preordering a game online, but that looks a little suspicious…… mostly because of the price. i know it says it’s an estimate and all but $100, honestly?

        1. That’s just the placeholder price while they wait for new systems. Kinda like how they put games in the computer with release dates of 2050 when they know it’s coming out, but they don’t know the exact date.

Given that we don’t know the Wii U’s pricing yet, it’s a sensible, if somewhat perplexing move.

        2. I feel the same way. But it’s really worth looking into. Could be a mistake. Maybe it’s bundled with something? Still, notice the release date.

  2. for the 1st time im going all out on a console launch. im going to buy the black wii u and rayman legends, new super mario bros u and batman arkham city armored edition and of course assassins creed 3

    1. The Drakness 2? Oh yeah I heard that was being developed by Nickelodeon as a spin off to Drake and Josh, yeah I can’t wait for that game to come out

  3. Shovelware and movie tie-ins for the most part :/
I would think something like the panorama view would be pre-installed. I don’t think many peeps would purchase that separately. Or maybe it could be a cheap eShop offering?

  4. Nice set of games for the launch of the Wii U =3 ZombiU is going to be the most picked game next to Batman Arkham City: Armoured Edition, Darksiders 2 and Mass Effect 3 (Lets hope they fixed the ending for the Wii U version… and have the option to make Commander Shepard look like mario, hat and all XD)

  5. New Super Mario Bros u, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, Rayman Legends, Alien Colonial Marines, LEGO City: Undercover, Pikman 3, ZombiU, Assassin’s Creed III are the games I looking forward to and buying as soon as they are release.

  6. That’s a long and impressive list of launch titles. Should satisfy a wide range of gamers. Leave luck to heaven.

  7. Get your shovels ready!

I see 3 *new* core games, 1 of which personally doesn’t interest me (Darksiders), one that’s already going to be available on my 360 and PS3 (Assassins’s Creed), and one new IP that may end up going multi-platform anyway, reportedly (ZombiU).

So the first 5 months of the console (launch month + 4 months, right Reggie?) look utterly useless to me. Not a day-1 purchase.

    Sorry Big N.

  8. Nintendo Land 4 ever! It must be the Wii Sports (bundled casual Mii game) for the Wii U. This is coming from a hardcore+casual gamer. B)

  9. Let’s see…
    – Chasing Aurora
    – Cloudberry Kingdom
    – LEGO City: Undercover (maybe)
    – New Super Mario Bros. U
    – Scribblenauts Unlimited (maybe)
    – Pikmin 3
    – Rayman Legends

        1. No, but as games COST money (on average, $59.99(, their quality directly affects whether or not I will buy them. Seriously? Did I just have to explain that very simple concept to you? Would you rather I have said “games I will not pay MONEY for” instead? Forgive me, I tend not to be heavy handed when there usually is no call for it; My mistake for thinking I was dealing with triple-digit IQs, here.

          1. who said they are going to be $60 dollars? and why did you have to do a jerk reply to someone else’s post.. You may not want to spend that much for those games but it doesn’t mean other people don’t mind.. very rude dude.

  10. I’m confused, does this mean that New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land won’t be available at launch? And therefore not a bundle game??

  11. i cant believe that the wiiU is 1,5 stronger than ps3 and xbox 360!Now what else will they anounce?

  12. My launch purchases:

    AC3
    ZombiU
    P-100 (if available)
    Darksiders II
    Mario U

I really don’t get Nintendo Land. If it’s packaged with the Wii U (which it should be), then fine. I get it. As a separately sold game? No way. I wish Nintendo put the resources into developing a single game, like Star Fox, F Zero, Zelda, etc. One of those would have really gotten people fired up. I do think the launch list is strong. Imagine how stoked people would be if Retro announced Star Fox U? Or Metroid U?

  13. That’s one hell of a list. I’m impressed! Here are the list of games that I would like to purchase on the Wii U.

    1. Aliens: Colonial Marines
    2. Batman: Arkham City: Armored Edition
    3. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge
    4. Assassin’s Creed III
    5. Rayman Legends
    6. Project CARS
    7. NBA 2K 13
    8. Lego City: Undercover
    9. New Super Mario Bros U
    10. Cloudberry Kingdom (a DLC must-buy for the hardcore [rage-quit] gamers!!!!)

*I highly doubt the Wii U titles be the actual price equivalent to Neo-Geo game cartridges. I’m sure the Big N will price each titles (except DLC titles) between $49.99 and $59.99 .

    Together Wii U

  14. Hmm most on the list do not catch my interest but the ones I know I’ll definitely be getting are:

    Zombi U
    NSMB U
    Lego City: Undercover
Nintendoland (hopefully comes bundled with system)

Those I will get if they’re all launch and if Nintendoland is bundled, as most have stated beforehand, its better as a bundled game rather than stand alone.

hopefully Pikmin 3 comes soon after launch, definitely will get that too and same with Rayman Legends

  15. EXUSE ME PEOPLE, YOU FORGOT THE BEST GAME OF ALL. SUPERR SMASH BROS BRAWL 2 (SUPERSMASH BROS 4)
FOR SOME REASON NINTENDO SAID NOTHING ABOUT IT AT E3????

    1. Maybe that’s because the just started working on it? That game won’t be out until 2014 at least.

  16. Shovelware smh i knew it, its wii all over again. Lol at faggots definding shitendo how ironic since its these same losers nintendo abondon for casuals lol low kissass LOSERS HAHA

  21. I talked to one of the guys at the Ubisoft booth, he said Rayman Legends probably won’t be a launch title. The footage we saw is early footage and they’re still experimenting with different gameplay styles.

  41. Hello there! This blog post couldn’t be written any better!

Looking at this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He continually kept talking about this. I am going to send this information to him.
Pretty sure he will have a very good read. I appreciate you for sharing!

  42. Think about this, as you move the FIFA Quintessential TEAM MILLIONAIRE GUIDE seemed to be great for men and women and its continue to truly harmonizes with manual trading, you are usually limited by any time you business. When you remember that the time you would spend trading may very well be used for another thing like truly playing the action, you realize that you need to get the Autobuyer.

  43. As mentioned in the launch, we thought i would not attach a score out from 10 for this review. Can be our text message does the speaking, but commentary engage with you in the responses section of the critique.
