Nintendo of Europe today announces that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Square Enix Europe, a leading publisher and distributor of video games, for the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS game Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance].
This brand new Kingdom Hearts adventure has been created specifically for Nintendo 3DS and under the terms of the agreement, Nintendo will be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of the game throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand territories, with Square Enix Europe remaining as publisher. Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] will be released from 20th July across Europe.
Maybe they plan to do some kind of Club Nintendo thing with it? Anyhow, it’s probably better that Nintendo does distribute it, because they know how well it’ll sell :P
We’ll see how well Nintendo is a marketing and advertising when the Wii U launches. They REALLY NEED to market that thing well so people can tell the difference between it and the Wii.
They won’t realase the game neither in Spanish nor Italian. I’m very disappionted.
I’ve noticed this is happenning a lot lately. Nintendo is distibuting Ninja Gaiden 3 for the Wii U, Lego City Undercover, SiNG and others. What’s up with that? Leave luck to heaven.
That’s good really. Because the others seem to have a nasty habit of praying the games do well. Look at Dragon Quest in the UK. They were coming but very little knew about them and suddenly: BOOM. Nintendo distributed 9 because Square didn’t want to. Sold a load better than would have otherwise.
Nintendo recently distributed One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP Part 1. They held tourneys, shown the One Piece episodes at their conventions and even done competitions to win One Piece merchandise. As opposed to releasing it exclusively online so only the fans knew about it.
