The latest edition of Nintendo Power has revealed that WayForward Technologies is planning to bring Mighty Switch Force HD to Wii U. The publication states that Mighty Switch Force HD is aiming to be a launch title for the Wii U eShop. Here’s some additional information taken from the latest edition of the magazine:
- Sprites being redrawn
- Game includes the ‘bonus incident’ DLC from eShop update
- May include new content as well
- New games separate from Mighty Switch Force HD in the planning phases for Wii U and 3DS
- GamePad screen displays the Hooligan Tracker
- Play the game just on the Wii U GamePad, which will feature a shrunken-down Hooligan Tracker

Ok, awesome, thats the first game ive seen that acts differently depending on whether you’re playing on the screen on gamepad, was worried that it would only apply to games that didnt use the pad as a display for something else like Rayman, Mario, Trine 2
Sounds cool, the 3DS version is awesome, I actually got it at first because I thought it looked a bit like Mischief Makers for the N64, but got disappointed, then I got new hope, the game was fun. Better textures and having the comfort to lay in bed playing on the U remote by itself is pretty sweet. I hope they some more cool ideas like maybe multiplayer with friends and the ability to video or voice chat while doing so.
Two Wii U titles coming from WayForward Technologies… Shantae and now Mighty Switch Force HD. Both downloable titles show some potential. In the future, I’d like to see what these titles look like on the gPad.
This is great! I love the original and I will def be picking this up day one. More good games to come. Sure sign of a hit.
sounds great the enjoyed the 1st one as an exclusive on the 3DS and here’s hoping the 2nd one will be even better.
Technically it is the same game just with added levels.

If this story is true, as it appears to be, then the Wii U is not only next gen but easily so. Fantastic news!

After reading this, I think this will put all those trolls to rest (Yea right haha). This means that it will be about 4-6 times more powerful then the PS360. This puts it on par with the nextbox and PS4.
wow its interesting but can someone do a comparison to the specs of this compared to ps3/Xbox pleased.
idk a lot of the power of wii u but i know it will be powerful.
As good as this sounds, I’ll take this with a grain of salt, just like the previous specs “leaks”. The only way to find out the specs I guess is to disassemble the Wii U when it comes out and see what makes it work.

I hope they don’t do what Rovio did with Angry Birds HD on the iPad and instead actually make proper changes to the game instead of re-releasing it to squeeze more money out of it >.<
