Wii U Basic Package Back In Stock At Toys R Us In Bundle For $419

You can now pre-order the Wii U Basic 8GB console at US retailer Toys R Us. The retailer outlet was previously out of stock of both models but has opened up pre-orders for the Basic 8GB package which they’re bundling with Batman Arkham City and Scribblenauts Unlimited. There’s currently no word on when you’ll be able to pre-order the Premium 32GB bundle.

Thanks, Ricardo

    1. i fucking told all you guy in here that was going to happen! if nintendo world store in nyc still taking pre-orders for both basic and deluxe, there no way they ran out of pre-orders and this is new york people!. this is a scam from stores like bestbuy toyrus wallmart gamestop and target ect. trying to turn a profit, they tell you the pre-orders are gone or sold out when there not, they use those remaining pre-order tickets to make there own bundles and rape your pockets for the holiday season so instead of paying $300 or $350 for your wii-u now your forced to pay $400 and up. if you live near nyc and dont want to get scammed by those companies go to nintendo world store! no middle man all products there come strait from nintendo and yes people they have more than enough wii-u deluxe for pre-order

      1. Isn’t the point that this bundle comes with two games? 300 + 60 + 60 = 420, so you’re actually saving $1

Awesome, right? In Australia we have to pay $430 for the premium bundle anyway, so I wouldn’t be complaining!

  1. If they’re going to offer the system at that price, wouldn’t it be better if they let you choose the games? I mean, all they’re doing is selling the system plus the games at $59.99 for each game. Then again, they might reserve the games for you that way.

I barely got my Deluxe one in just in time. I don’t thin Nintendo will offer that one anymore since it might get too expensive for them to give gamers 10% on each of their games for two years. Maybe they’ll just give you an extra game and keep the price at $349.99. I sure as hell going to take advantage of that though.

    1. It’s not 10% off of retail games, but eShop games.

I’m going to take advantage of Nintendo Premium and buy all my Wii U games digitally. It’ll save me a lot for the next 2 years in the long run. :)

      1. And that is the trick in all of this. Nobody will expect Nintendo to be the ones to push for full digital as a main point of sales. But, that 10% off for premium owners is a sneaky way of trying to push it. I’m on to you Nintendo >.> Sorry I’ll pay the extra $11 for my physical copies.

    1. Not as unprofessional as people selling Wii U for over it’s retail price on eBay.

It’s better than nothing. Besides, I have a feeling that at launch Nintendo will have a shortage of Wii U and they’ll be sold out for a while. To those people who have not gotten a Wii U, I’m afraid that this will be one of their good chances left.

  2. That bundle seems prettty good, especially for the people who never bought Arkham City!

Although why do I get the feeling that future pre-orders will force bundles on people? It doesn’t matter to me, I got my Wii U when I had the chance. :) Good luck to everyone out there, because it seems as though Toys R Us is the current retailer offering the Wii U. GIT IT!

  4. Seems to me that Toys R Us are competing against Walmart on selling Wii U bundles… except Walmart (although both sets are sold out) as a given customers a choice to select one of the Wii U launch titles and a Wii Remote Plus.

      1. yeah, but specifically Toys R Us because, well, I’ve always known them as the ones to price LEGOs a few bucks higher (back when I was a huge LEGO fan) and this kind of stunt for them doesnt surprise me

    1. They aren’t jacking up the price. What they are doing is saying hey if you want a Wii U, you have to buy these 2 games with it. It’s not anymore expensive if you actually bought the system and games seperatally. $300 (Basic Set) + $60 (Scribblenauts) + $60 (Batman) = $420

    1. There are retailers that know that there are people who DESPERATELY want a Wii U, so retailers (Toys R Us for ex.) want to test their customers by putting in extra things to make the price go higher, and in some cases, it does work. There will be people who will buy this, trust me.

      1. well it’s not a bad deal as such.. it costs exactly the same as a wii-u + 2 games.. so if it’s these 2 games you want you might aswell buy it… it’s just that i don’t see why they should offer a bundle in the first place if it offers absolutely no difference to buying the 3 things seperately

    1. From what I read, it’s Batman AND Scribblenauts. Since both games together are $120 and the Basic Wii U is $300, that’s why it’s $419 (Oh wow, a whole $1 savings!) But that isn’t a good bundle to me. Bundling is supposed to reduce price, not equal the same price if bought separately.

  6. The ToysRus website is not going to be restocked in the Deluxe Wii U until its bundled, where the cost willbe about $600. We were told that the preorders online have reached capacity and that SOME preorders are only being taken INstore until they reach a certain amount.

Luckily Im just going to stroll on through the doors, while cutting the whole line to buy mine 10minutes before we open =P

      1. I would never hit a woman/girl.
      2. If I did I would leave with 2 more of each body part excluding a…. Yea.

    1. Fail. What is the name of that store in Nyc? Nintendo World. So they would most likely get more shipment. Gamestop has ran out, they have a waiting list. How are they making profit if:
      1. It cost the same exact if bought separate.
      2. Most bundles save you money, ergo being cheaper therefore no one is making profit. It is more of an incentive than anything else. .

If you read #2 again you can then comprehend; So all of these retailers have ran out of Pre-orders. Why, because they made their own bundles that saved people money; More people bought them.

  8. thats what you think. these companies like toysrus make a percentage of everything they sell the more they sell the more money they make just cause it says bundle doesn’t mean is cheaper for the consumer.

      1. you truly are a stupid bitch they make money from everything they sell asshole if they didn’t why would they sell it in there store you dumb shit! you must have never worked in a business before. those bundles are made to increase sales of certain products so if they sell you a wii-u basic with scribblenaut’s and batman that means the get money from nintendo and warner instead of just nintendo understand asshole the more they sell the more they make
