The demonstration pods at the Nintendo World store In New York now showcase a special demo screen which allows you to browse the cover art for any of the demo software on Wii U. People have pointed out that the interface for the demos is similar to that of the modded Wii USB loader screens. The demonstration pods allow you to select the demo cover art and either watch a video of the selected demo, or alternatively, play one of the demos. At the moment only Rayman Legends is selectable. Whether this is the final look of the OS remains to be confirmed by Nintendo. But we shouldn’t have to wait too long to find out.

While speaking with ntower, Linzer noted that “the Wii U is the strongest console with a lot of potential for the future.” He also spoke highly of the GPU.

AMEN about Retro studios , I am replaying Metroid prime 3 corruption and I had totaly forgotten how incredible it looks on the wii . For me , its BY FAR the best looking game on wii , it gives early 360 and ps3 games a run for their money .
A bit of an exaggeration. It looks like a PS2/Gamecube game, in reality. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but other than art-wise, it’s not HD console standard. That’s just silly.
It looks actually way way better than anything on the ps2 and on the gamecube . Metroid prime 1 and 2 look a lot less detailed , no bloom lighting and particle effects , awful textures etc etc etc . MP3 looks a LOT better than anything on the ps2 and gamecube no doubt.
I advise you go and compare them and then come back to me bro . Not on youtube , on the actual consoles . Im not saying it looks better than early 360 games , Just saying it looks actualy pretty close.

So thanks to some video footage via YouTube we get a good look at the Wii U interface. It seems to be very clean, slick and easy to use like the 3DS user interface. It seems like when you hover over the game artwork on the GamePad, on the TV you get screenshot montages on-screen. Or when you select a video on the GamePad the video plays on the TV. Now as mentioned in the original blog post, this is only a demo and we are yet to know whether this is the final look of the Wii U interface. But hopefully the final product will be similar to this.
I don’t think this will be the final look of the OS. If I’m not mistaken, Nintendo reps turned the TVs off while switching to a different demo for the people there. I guess the idea was to prevent people from seeing Miiverse or how it is integrated into the OS. I doubt this will be in the final OS since Iwata had already confirmed that the first thing you see when booting up the Wii U was that screen with the title of games and the Miis around them. That will be essentially the new OS.
I hope someone mods the Wii U and creates a USB loader for it. It was really convenient.
