Grab A Wii For $89 At Walmart On Black Friday

Those few of you that still don’t own a Wii may want to consider picking one up on Black Friday through Walmart. You’ll be able to buy one for $89.99, which is quite a bit cheaper than its recommended retail price. Don’t forget there’s some great titles to buy for it as well, including the Super Mario Galaxy series and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword & Twilight Princess.

      1. Im so exited for that day that maybe ill get a boner xD.
It will be very weird walking to my house with my WiiU while having a boner.

  1. My Wii has had a good run with me. Just like with other Nintendo systems, it will not be forgotten.

And holy s**t! I didn’t realized the Wii U gets released next week’s Sunday! I think AC 3 releases next week for Wii U for some reason. Since I have it reserved, I need to go pick it up within two days of release. When I do that, I’ll pay off my Deluxe set. Japan is getting ZombiU in digital form, so I’ll get it that way. I just need to know about Black Ops 2.

  2. OMG lol, Wii might sell well the xD
I know more than a few people willing to get one just for key titles like Muramasa Demon blade and No More Heroes (both) among others.

  3. Eh. I guess it could be worth it. I mean, sure, the Wii U allows for Wii games to be played on it, but not GAMECUBE games, so that’s one reason for a Wii this late. Plus, it’d get a couple things for the Wii itself (like an extra Wiimote, among other things), so that’s cool. Although, I am sure most people who would want a Wii to have it already have it by this point. Plus, Black Friday is as dangerous as hell (no, really), and crowded as all get out too.

    1. You have to be carefull. Wii’s built post 2011 aren’t backwards compatible with Gamecube. So out of the 98M wii’s worldwide like 15M aren’t Backwards compatible.

My gamecube comes out of the closet and sits along side my Wiiu when It arrives!

      1. I will get a wii for my nephew whit a 3ds whit all the mario games and dkr i bet he will become a hardcore gamer like the oldest of my nephews , the bastard beat mewtwo on pokemon puzzle league on N64 lol if you have to ask the difficulty

    2. The newer Wiis don’t play gamecube games anymore. They removed the slots were you put gamecube controllers and gamecube memory cards in.

  4. I have been playing the crap out of my Wii in the last 3-4 months. Replaying games such as Twilight princess , SKyward sword , Metroid Prime 3, SSBB , Monster Hunter Tri and many many other games as my tribute to it!! As soon as wiiu arrives all my VC data is going to wiiu and the wii is going to a Charity shop.

    1. Thats bad, even if i dont use my snes anymore i still keep it, its a treasure of my childhood, i cant throw away something that gave me so much fun.

      1. But the wiiu Is fully backwards compatible with Wii so I will never use it again becuase I have a Gamecube and a WiiU. So I might aswell give it to someone who needs it.

I have a NES and a SNES becuase They’re still Usefull.

        1. The only thing I see the Wii being useful for now is playing Brawl with GameCube controllers. Which is a small thing, but still super fun.

    2. I have been hitting Xenoblade as hard as possible, but I’m pretty sure I’m not gonna finish it before the Wii U comes out…oh well, just one of multiple titles to keep me busy well into the new year – the rest of Xenoblade, Last Story, DCKR(which I’m picking up tonite), AC3, Scribblenauts, NSMBU, and ZombiU…yea, I’m gonna be a busy little beaver…

  5. Besides the Mario Galaxy games (best platformers I’ve played this gen) and Zelda, Metroid Prime 3, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Kirby Returns to Dreamland, Kirby Collection, Xenoblade, Sonic Colors, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, plus all the Virtual Console games and more are just great games that you can find on the Wii, if for some reason anyone has yet to buy one.

    You’re Welcome.

  6. OMG! The same price that Nintendo just quoted for me to get my original Wii repaired. I swear, if it wasn’t for the Virtual Console and WiiWare games I had on it, I’d say SCREW IT!

    1. This is a Black Friday price though. You have to think of what’s safer for you, and this will only last a weekend at best.

  7. I will be keeping my Wii around mainly to play GameCube games. I do in fact have a GameCube as well but the Wii(with component cable) is able to run GameCube games with progressive scan support in 480p, you need a GameCube component cable to do this on the original GameCube which is currently over $100 on ebay due to it’s rarity, much cheaper to use a backward compatible Wii. Also i like to keep and collect all my Nintendo hardware.
