Spin The Bottle Announced For Wii U

Denmark-based developer KnapNok Games has announced that Spin the Bottle will come to Nintendo’s forthcoming console, Wii U, during next year’s spring. Spin the Bottle is an eight-player party game that uses the Wii U GamePad and Wii Remote controllers. In the game, players gather around the Wii U GamePad and spin a virtual bottle on its touchscreen to take on awkward challenges.

Spin the Bottle is a party game for Wii U supporting up to 8 players. The game pushes the players’ attention away from the screen and onto each other with a series of collaborative micro challenges where players have to look at each other in order to win. The players sit in a circle around the Wii U Game Pad and spin a virtual bottle in order to pair up two random players to take a challenge. The challenges are carried out with Wii Remotes and might involve tight coordination, daring trust, body contact or extreme flexibility.

    1. Question of the Day: In order to purchase a Wii U, you have to make-out with someone of your same gender (they will be very attractive) for 1 minute on camera. Would you do it?

          1. I’m just pointing out the basic reason why this game could be more than worth while.
People saying it’s shovelware. Last time I checked making out with that blonde chick you can’t get with isn’t shovelware XD

      1. That’s my thought also.
Everyone’s being pretty quick to judge.
My initial reaction to this game is not very good, but I’ll look into it once the console launches. Probably wait for some user reviews, or reviews from my swapnote comrades.

  1. Why do companies throw their money on this garbage :( so many devs with potential and don’t even get a shot at making their own game on a console

  2. Huh…… these games are just getting weirder. But this isn’t anything compared to this one game called the internet.

    1. LOL! I just legitimately looked up a game called “The Internet” and found nothing….I then proceeded to figuring out that it is not a real game and that it was a clever joke refering to the actual…internet… -__-…ummm…yeahhh….I’m blond…

      1. Lol, be a hellava shame to break my gamepad days after launch.
You are very likely correct, but I’ve got practice drinking and gaming. :p

  3. It’s obvious that the Wii U is going to be SWAMPED with shovelware just like the Wii was. I don’t mind, as long as there’s a great selection of GOOD games that continues coming in.

    1. Yeah… Because this is obviously the greatest game WiiU has to offer… If only it would launch with a few high budget titles.
Pity, I must have just Imagined ZombiU and Assassin’s creed. (And All the others.)

  4. FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for this one for so long! It’s been a life long dream of mine to prove I’m a chickeny-bitch via video game, and now i can. Thanks Denmark!

    1. How exactly would you bring this up to play?

“Yo dudes, wanna play some spin the bottle?”
“Hey guys, know what we should play? Spin the bottle!”
“Spin the bottle is a good co-op game, we should do that”
“Hey, after CoD, you wanna do some spin the bottle?”

      1. here is mine:
“hey dude you better play this game, this game is the shit you know what im saying, REAL TALK man. this game get U bitches BITCHES boy.”
        or 2…….:
“hey i remember you, you where the one that’s cars i smash he he…….what do you mean your grandmother was in there, i though that’s was a bobble head that screams when you crush it. by the way you want to play spin the bottle?”

        1. Here is mine
”Hey girls , so I invited you over to play this awesome new WiiU game.”
          girls- ”hehe , ok !”
”which ever girl the bottle lands on has to go to second base , with me…”

          10/10 , best game ever.

          1. That might work for teenage boys and teenage girls. As an adult male though, we don’t need to play these kind of games and neither do our woman, all it takes….is a look, and then…the real game begins.

  5. if you play this game sober with eanyone but your hot girlfriend you are gay as hell is what i say to this shovle ware so that can gay people that pertend there not gay bi telling everyone the game told them to or if you have a girl friend thats coming over

  7. Whew, what a relief… and I was afraid we might wind up with more Wii shovelware or concepts that could easily be played on a smartphone.

    1. Yeah because other consoles don’t have shovelware and clearly the four best consoles of all time (NES, PS, SNES, PS2) didn’t have shovelware either.

  8. “The challenges are carried out with Wii Remotes and might involve tight coordination, daring trust, body contact or extreme flexibility.”

better make sure the girl to dude ratio is 4:1 then, or else having those Wiimotes might get awkward and that’s just the least of it lol

  10. Buying the game is easy. Finding attractive people of the opposite sex who are willing to come over to your house to play it is the hard part. You’ll probably just end up playing with yourself. Yes, that means exactly what you think. ;)
