Capcom USA’s Senior Vice-President, Christian Svensson, has revealed via the Capcom Unity forums that the intriguing E.X Troopers most likely won’t come to the West. One of the problems with localizing the game is that the text featured throughout E.X Troopers is hard-coded as actual art. To localize a release, Capcom would have to redo some of the art featured within the game.

Well this is the first I’ve heard of “E.X Troopers” sooo…must not be that important anyway.
It’s a lost planet spin off by Capcom. And in my opinion , capcom seem to know how to squeeze a lot of juice out of the 3ds. So it’s probably an awesome game. Shame it may not make it over here :(

Don’t change it, just voice over it. Seriously, we don’t care about the Japanese Text. It’s sad that such a great game that doesn’t even to seem to be dialouge driven is held back from us because “Nmyegh, I don’t rlly feel like it today…”

I played the Japanese demo with no problem. Slap some captions and subtitles on the came and we’ll be straight.
I loved the demo. Really wish it could be localized.
Why not just put subtitles instead and leave the Japanese in Japanese since the appeal of the game direction is clearly in the stylistic Japanese comic approach, then input English text wherever English text can be inputted?

We don’t give a thing.. Put subtitles to this and its done. This is way consoles just need to be region free. PS3 and Vita are great examples, and everyone should follow it. That’s why Wii Homebrew and consoles hacks are so important for some people, not for the pirating, but for the oportunity to unlock the consoles, and play as region free. Hope Wii U and 3DS homebrews and hacks come fast to unlock the region block of both…

first megman legends 3 and now THIS? F*ck you Capcom… rgh… I was honestly looking forward to that game, having played the first two and thoroughly enjoying them. Mix that gameplay in with cel-shaded anime graphics, 3D, and portability, the game gets even better… damn it.
the reason it’s not being released in the west is because it BOMBED in Japan.
