This weeks Media Create sales figures are in from Japan and they once again show that the Nintendo 3DS is a dominant force to be reckoned with. The Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 3DS sold 255,949 units and 159,323 units respectively, propelling it to the top of the Japanese hardware charts. The Wii U didn’t fare too badly selling 122,843 units, which put it firmly in third place. Here’s the Japanese software and hardware charts.

3DS LL is the “XL” in the States and Europe.
1. I think you can check how much you have left under settings, not sure though.
2. It can take a while, but a faster Internet connection can speed it up.
3. There is also a Fifa 13 demo.

2. It all depends on you internet connection; it took me 15-30 minutes to download 1GB

It sounds like the people on this site are worried that the 3ds is beating the wii u eventhough that makes no sense since they are both nintendo products.

Well there’s a few reasons why as I explained in the last article like this, but what I have noticed is that the 3DS has an Animal Crossing game for it. Simply put, that is why the 3DS has sold ridiculously well in comparison to all other consoles.
The DS crushed competition, not even the mighty Wii phased it, it’s only right that the great great great great grandchild of the Gameboy dominates all others. Told you guys the 3DS shall rule this eighth generation of consoles. To think they thought the vita would stop a nintendo handheld lol, ” what a bunch of jokers.”
You realize that handhelds and home consoles are not grouped in the same generations.
As far as am concerned the 3DS was the beginning of this new generation. Then Sony commercials should stop grouping the vita with consoles as per their stating ” vita console graphics on a handheld.”
It is a beautiful thing for the 3DS and Wii U to be selling this great, it keeps panicky investors happy, also now gives third parties incentives to support all of nintendos consoles. We as gamers win in this battle.

While it was not told to the buyers they did say so to the press thats why they are so harsh on the handheld.

Well of course the 3DS is going to rule this generation list the DS did the last. Everyone knew it would even if they denied it. The console’s doing ridiculously well, even in comparison to its predecessor. And why? Because of the games. Right now, it’s because of Animal Crossing and Paper Mario, and who knows what will sell the system even more in the future.

It will start doing better Q1 2013, I think especially between the end of February and March.
Well as long as they keep coming up with psp games better than the vita ones it’s not going knowhere in sales
Phantasy Star Online 2, One Piece Pirate Warriors 2, Soul Sacrifice, Tales of Hearts R, Dead or Alive 5 Plus, Oboro Muramasa, Mon Monster, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, Shinovi Versus – just a few of the titles coming out for Vita between January and March that should give it a nice boost in sales.

When monster hunter 3 Ultimate releases in the PAL UK, Africa Israel, middle East regions, then the Americas; it’s goodnight PS4 and Xbox720 watch this space. @ # 10 a Wii game, thus the Wii selling over 10 000 units. This is wonderful, look at how the 3DS suffered due to a lack of games at lunch and a ridiculous price lol. Today the 3DS say hello! Am at the top of the world like the Ozone. Fist of north star propelled the PS3, that game is also coming to the Wii U. Gaming at it’s finest nintendo style baby :). Once the wii u gets game that are there own I think it will be good. Could you imagine a animal crossing on the wii u that uses the 3ds version also.
Mr. Iwata slashed his Salary by 50%, mr. Fils’ Ame, mr. Shibata and mr. Miyamoto slashed their salaries by 30% when nintendo over priced their 3DS at launch. Which caused nintendo investors to panic and fans and consumers alike to not buy the system in droves. Due to their humbleness and charity with virtue and being honest people, we the people responded and bought the 3DS in droves and we continue to do so. All nintendo has to do now is release a Star Fox on Wii U, and sell it for either $49 or a very competive wallet to game ratio and they shall be smiling once more. Like the are smiling right now :).

nothing wrong with that, it’s just a preference. Each market is unique, and Japan loves gaming on the go.

Let’s us Nintendo and gaming veterans share knowledge with the old, middle and new school.
1) FIFA was built to be played on a nintendo or Sony platform not xbox, it’s just akward with those controllers.
2) All games can be played on a nintendo system and they will feel good. Not all games were meant for xbox, even the playstation brand to some extent.
3) Nintendo execs are cool and down to earth.
4) with these great sale numbers, Nintendo should listen now to us the fans and localize plus make star fox for the Wii U ( don’t give it an akward name like star fox U ).
5) We as nintendo fans game on all platforms when we can afford to.
Listen to your parents and avoid dangerous peer pressure.
7) pray eat, make money, buy games, invest in property, marry a good wife or husband, start them off on a Gameboy ( 3DS, 4DS……etc). Also laugh and a happy new year.

Why is it we never get to see uk/european hardwear Charts? It’s cool to see what’s selling in Japan, but I would find uk sales also interesting
EU and NA charts come out every week, but Nintendo usually isn’t at the top spot on those individual charts. So…. idk, maybe that’s why. =/
