The site that previously leaked the information that Monster Hunter Ultimate was coming to the Nintendo 3DS now says that the Monster Hunter franchise is a handheld exclusive for the Nintendo 3DS for a maximum of three years. If true, then it means that Monster Hunter 4 could come to the PlayStation Vita sometime in 2014. Rumours surfaced yesterday which claimed that Monster Hunter 4 was delayed as Capcom want a simultaneous release on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
It’s too funny b/c Aelous, Bliiy, and Nuetron and a few others..go on these Nintendo sites every damn day… I believe that they actually love Nintendo, but they don’t have a life..they go on here acting like a tough guy but in reality they’re a bunch of bum’s…..I aslo believe that their father’s beat them and their uncles raped them….so they need to act like something special and better, to better themselves…

I tried playing the vita, did not like the feel of the handheld. 3D rendering looks fantastic on games so who the hell would want it on something that is basically a PS3 without the cell? Its expensive as hell, no ones gonna buy it. Its not a smart business move for Capcom either, a Vita version will take to long to develop and it wont help them to make money versus having it as a 3DS exclusive. Capcom is already being lazy and not redesigning the character and world models.
Actually, Vita games are relatively simple to develop. That’s why ports are so prevalent on it. It’s easy to translate for the Vita. Original Vita games can be made quickly as well. Still, “too long to develop”? I say, if a game needs time to be developed properly, go for it. I’d rather a great game that takes two-three years of development than a crappy one churned out in 2 months.
That said, the rumor that MH 4 was coming to the Vita is not very likely.

Unless they up the graphic quality on the vita version, I honestly don’t care. MH4 honestly looks kinda ugly on terms of environments. Unite, Portable 3rd, 3G (U for the US), and even Tri look better than 4. ._.; Gameplay looks wonderful, however.
Game can always benefit from powerful hardware because a dev can up the graphics, increase the amount of enemies, mkae better ai, make bigger environments, make damagable environments, enhance the physics and do some other fancy stuff.

When portable 3rd came out, they also made an “HD” port to the PS3, which was nothing but stretched pixels and resolution. it looked ugly. The point i’m trying to make it that this is the first time we’ve seen a change this dramatic in MH. Knowing Capcom’s history with “improving” monster hunter, I’m doubtful that they’ll change much between the vita and 3ds versions.

Honestly when you see the game on a 3DS screen in 3D you will say WOW. Also the game isn’t even finished yet at all.
And the vita would do nothing to enhance the gameplay of Monster Hunter 4 , just a slightly higher resoloution ,and it won’t be 3D.
I’m not being silly. I’m going by experience as someone who has played MH since the first game. Capcom is lazy about this franchise for the most part. They’ve never “pushed” the game’s engine or anything. Their trailors have always shown the same results on terms of graphics. it has used the same animations and such since the first game, too. I know the game will be amazing, I’m just pointing out that 4 looks worse graphics wise than previous games in the franchise, which makes no sense. If It DOES end up improving by the time it comes out, color me surprised.

If people just ignored the trolls then they wouldn’t have reason to come back and cause annoyance. I issued a ban and warnings yesterday and will continue to do so. Why release a Vita version? Everyone in Japan who wants to play Monster Hunter (you know, the place where the game sells the best?) already has a 3DS because of 3G. Now with 4 coming out, people aren’t going to suddenly go buy a Vita to play its lackluster library JUST for Monster Hunter when they already have a 3DS.
Pretty sure everyone in Japan has a 3DS at this point thanks to Pokemon (upcoming), Animal Crossing and Monster Hunter. It would be a really poor financial decision to put any kind of money into a Vita port.

This isn’t going to increase the Vita’s sales or take gamers away from the 3DS… If you’re getting this game you probably have a 3DS already, the 3DS version will have a much larger user base and a richer online experience because of it. Also, if you don’t own a 3DS or a vita, which one will be more enticing to you? Obviously the 3DS is already winning in that respect. gamers will lead towards the 3DS, it has better games, it has more users and its cheaper. All the Vita has is better graphics and obviously that isn’t helping it win this battle.

I liked them… Better graphics are always nice to have. If I was only playing solo then I might go for the Vita version. Might not. But if I was wanting to play mostly with other people then I would definitely go 3DS.
Nintendo, directly or indirectly, bought the exclusivity of MH and that was one of their smartest moves they’ve done in the last 5 years. At the time they announced the games, the strength of 3DS was still in doubt. Two years later, MH4 is the only game that can SAVE PS Vita from being a new Dreamcast, as leadership is completely out of question, 3DS is selling at DS-level numbers in Japan even before Pokemon XY and MH4 is released. Nintendo is probably worried more with iOS and Android than the Vita…the market now is not the 2-horse race that was on the DS days, and that might kill the Vita. However, considering MH3 on 3DS sell 1.7 million and MH on PSP sold 4.6 million, I believe at least half of the 3DS fans still didn’t jump on the Nintendo boat, so if MH4 for PS Vita is announced, they can keep the system alive (barely but still), which is the best scenario for me (Nintendo doing well, with strong competitors to keep them awake)
