Nintendo has released a brand-new trailer for LEGO City Undercover, which is exclusive to the new Wii U console and launches March 18th in North America. In the open world video game, players take control of Chase McCain, an undercover cop who hunts down criminals across a huge city. Throughout the game, Chase gains multiple disguises that give him additional abilities. To aid him on his missions, Chase can use various forms of transportation, including vehicles such as cars, helicopters and boats, and he can even ride animals such as horses and pigs.

My dream prediction is they will show 3 brand new games today during the direct. 3D Mario game coming this holiday season. Retro Studios Starfox game also coming this holiday season. And finally Miyamotos new IP coming 1st Q 2014.

I would more then cry lol. 3D Mario goes first I would have a permanent Joker smile lol. Then Retro’s game comes on then I would start trembling and freaking out screaming lol. Then Miyamotos game comes on and then I have a heart attack and am lying on the floor drooling and twitching lol. My body wouldnt be able to handle that lol. Realistically if the only thing they showed was that Yoshi Island and say a Wii U Kirby game I would still flip out lol.

Mario 3D, Zelda, MK, Star Fox, F-Zero etc would all make me incredibly happy. I’m really looking forward to Miyamoto’s new IP too.

Yepperoni Pepperoni! I’m really liking the open world so far! It’s the best looking Lego title as well imo :D The Lego Marvel also looks good! I’m a big Iron Man fan so looking forward to that too!
I think the LEGO Marvel looks pretty good as well. That LEGO Hulk looks pretty silly!
If this game sells well and has very good reviews, it will open up the gate for GTA V as they both have some similarities! Just watch!

Which is actually a very good idea when you think about it! When me and my cousin where like 11, my cousin asked my mom to preorder Vice City for him because his mom said no. Then he did the same thing with San Andreas:p so the kiddies can have a GTA experience without the M rating. Though we do know they love everything that comes with an M rating ^^;

The graphics here prove the systems power. No 360 or ps3 could render those graphics that way. If anyone says Wii U is weaker than just tell em that.
All well and good to beat previous Gen consoles, the real test is over the next year or two when the others come out.
Too much power = high cost + faulty hardware + high development cost/complications + an average consumer who can’t even tell the difference in graphics anymore

Games are developed for PC because there’s a large audience out there who only plays PC and doesn’t care for consoles. Not to mention that most PC’s are easily modifiable by people to make it so that they can play games. Consoles however, are generally priced more than a PC of equal specifications, yet appeal to a completely different audience than PC gamers.
Than allow me to prove my point.
Where are the next gen games I have not seen one except on pc.

I have to admit, those where all big problems with the overpriced consoles of the early 90’s… And the genesis add-ons. Though the two big ones where the Atari Jaguar and the 3DO. They focused on power rather than gamepay quality which resulted in two horrible consoles people will review, like AVGN, just to poke fun at and realllly see how bad they are lol.
But I’m talking about the 90’s 3D rendered gaming is beyond perfected now, and with HDTV, people are.l confident with powerful consoles. Yet the higher priced units may not appealto a more casual audience…. Yet, both hardcore and casual gamers can enjoy the WiiU.
So yeah, those factors aren’t major issues today, but I do see what you mean :p
There’s the problem. A more powerful console doesn’t appeal to those who don’t really care for specifications, or “casual” gamers. Instead, they look for the cheapest console with the games they want and buy that. That’s why the PS1 and PS2 did so well, and why the DS, 3DS and Wii all were so successful. They’re cheaper than their competition and have a wide variety of games. The 360 and PS3 have only done much better recently because the Wii doesn’t really have any multiplatform games.
