Legendary development studio Mistwalker has teased new concept art presumably for a new game that has yet to be announced by the company. The image look similar to The Last Story with regards to the colours and theme. The company posted the image on both its Facebook page and official site. Hopefully we will get some kind of announcement sometime soon.

If you look closely at the bottom right corner. On the beast tail, it says in small letters “The Last World” :)

YES PLEASE!!!!! I know they said that they had some interesting ideas for RPGs that only the Gamepad could do so this is definitely intriguing. Can’t wait to find out more. I think it would be funny if The Last Story had as many sequels and spin-offs as Final Fantasy.

fuck yeah! any game like the last story is a must play for me.
I’ve been reading about this all over the internet and a lot of people are saying this was concept art for The Last Story back when it’s project name was Last World which makes sense. What I’m not understanding is why Mist Walker is just now posting it all over the place if that were the case. Unless they are planning to revive some ideas in a sequel that didn’t fit in the planning stages of the first one.
If this is the Wii U project, please let it be The Last Story 2

Well, Mistwalker commented on the limitations of the Wii holding aspects of back The Last Story a bit. That shouldn’t be a problem on the Wii U. Looking forward to more news on this

Another great game that won’t come to America. The last story only game because of fans screaming for itand it sold horribly in America. I think they learned there lesson
Both The Last Story and Xenoblade did very well in America. Xseed the company that translated the game to English over here said they made profits from both games. Reason why they are bring over Pandora’s Tower.
Sorry to say this… But XSEED wasn’t the responsible for Xenoblade Chronicles in the Americas…

Amy this time around I am gurantee you that they will release these games in all regions. PAL and NTSC. Pandoras tower is set for an April release here in the US.
Except they will, because everyone threw a fit at them not coming out of Japan.
You’re right since it already been 2 years since Zangeki no Reginleiv’s release and I’m gessing no one but XSEED (who is extremely busy at the moment) would want to localize the game because it’s poor Japanese sales. It’s such a shame because it been a while since Nintendo actually published a mature game since Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, Eternal Darkness, and Geist. It also fully utelizes the use of the Motion Plus.

Nintendo this generation are not making any early 3DS mistakes. They are showing massive love to third parties and indy developers, how much more do you think they will show to us their loyal customers. It’s a beautiful time to be a Wii U owner. Remember that even the system seller Wii U workout is arriving in the near future :).

For all you can say about Nintendo not getting 3rd party support, they’ve done a decent coup of the Japanese industry. The fact that they have studios funded by Microsoft now making games for their systems is pretty impressive.

I really liked the first one and I don’t even consider myself good at RPG’s.
What good news. I’m at the final boss in The Last Story. Can’t wait to see how it ends. At least I think it’s the final boss.
Would be awesome if they like the Final Fantasy series, they can start their own trademark series, example Last Story 2 with a completely different story, setting and characters..

Holy **** Mother****** **** I Love this world!!!!!! the last story is my #1 favorite RPG game of all time, liked it even more than lost planet. Seriously if there’s gonna be sequal on the Wii U than there’s is no RPG competition anymore since this is the greatest game series of all time.
So does that means ”The Last Story” is now to be renamed to ”The Penultimate Story”?

In the picture it looks like the two Outsider dragons. I really hope there is a pre-/sequel. I would play that till the disk breaks.
The character seems to resemble Sir Therius, complete with braid and glowing tatoos. Coincidence? I think not.
A sequel to The Last Story with Sir Therius as the main character would be nice. He could fix the problems in the Empire since apparently it felt Lazulis Island wasn’t the only place with horrible knights.
What’s creepy is I was just thinking last night (before seeing this) that a sequel with Therius would be good
