American video game retailer GameStop has announced that it is offering consumers $50 when they trade in their Wii for a new Wii U. In order to be eligible for trade, all necessary components must be included with the Wii hardware. The offer is valid until June 2nd, and it’s applicable to both the Wii U Basic Set and Wii U Deluxe Set. You can read the full details of the limited time offer below:

You’re better off finding a used Wii that can, since component cables for the Gamecube are nigh-impossible to find
How so? It uses the same cables as SNES/N64. There are plenty of cables, including a superior S-video input I just bought. It’s not first party, but it’s cheap and works like a wonder. Stunning quality, and I use it for my SNES and N64 too.
also i have emulaters for never released games on there. for like the many great snes games nintendo refused to release, also dont say pirate bullshit because i dont do that.
Well, apparently you do. Just because it wasn’t released in your country doesn’t mean it isn’t pirating or stealing if you are playing it without owning the original game.
it was either going on my computer or my wii. also i waited 6 years and there was no sign of great snes games to come out. this is the only time im going to soft mod a system and play emulators on something . ive spent over 200$ on vc so. there is a difference in old games that arnt being sold that pirating new games.

Once I buy a WiiU I’ll keep my Wii resting. Won’t sell it because I value my consoles, but for GC games I just always used my dear little black Cube.

No, not most gamers, just the Sony and MS fanboys/girls or Nintendo haters. I like them all personally, but I gotta admit the new Xbox One has some serious issues. It’s essentially a bottom of the barrel computer you hook up to you TV, which you can already do with a PC, and it has the issues with the used games. Plus that 500 GB HD is going dwindle pretty quickly once people realize that each game in fully installed onto the HD and generally a game is between 10-25 gigs right now.
Luckily this is the only site I comment on then.

Don’t hold your breath, all the deals that have been around have been from the stores. Nintendo has said they won’t be dropping the price any time soon, although I wouldn’t be too surprised if they drop it shortly before Chrismas.
lol they are selling Wii U Basic Pack for 300 € and Premium Pack for 350. I could just sell my Wii elsewhere for more than 50 bucks and buy Premium Pack for 300 € at amazon or I keep my Wii and buy the Basic Pack for 200 € at amazon. Game Stop is shit.

I wouldn’t do it. If anything keep it just for a second netflix box in a second room or keep using it for the Wii and Gamecube in a second room.
This is kinda a good deal since if you trade in a Wii normally you’ll get like 20 or 40 bucks. But $100 would have been way much better!
