Nintendo Brings Exclusive E3 Games To More Than 100 Best Buy Stores

best_buy_logo

Games shown at the Electronic Entertainment Expo video game trade show are usually playable only by the few industry insiders who make the trip to Los Angeles each year. But Nintendo and Best Buy are teaming up to make sure people across North America can get their hands on a select list of Nintendo’s E3 games. Demos of the games will be playable at 110 Best Buy locations, including 89 in the United States and 21 in Canada. The games will be playable 4-8 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 12, and 1-5 p.m. local time on Saturday, June 15. You can view the most up-to-date list, right here.

    1. your lucky its in your country, i am getting fed up of gaming companies and developers treating u.k and Europe, (pal) like second rate gamers! why cant we get some of that action? come on shibata get your shit together!

      1. It’s even worse around here you know; you might be treated like second-rate players we’re treated like we’re non-existent even though the ME region is a HUGE gaming community

      2. Well with all the Nintendo hate in the UK you can’t actually be surprised but they get some pre-order bonuses like with Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon.

      1. sickr, this is one question I need to ask. These places

        Pennsylvania
        Erie
        King of Prussia
        Pittsburgh
        Reading
        Whitehall

are you should those are right, because when I go on the best buy website, it only list erie and whiteball. So I really need to know if it is true, because the other places (King of Prussia, Pittsburgh, and reading) are closer to where I live. Please reply back soon.

      2. Greenfield? Rats. I was hoping they would do the Mayfair Best Buy here in Milwaukee. Oh well. Still not too far.

  1. Nintendo Commander

    Wonderful!

N-Dub Nation and the rest of our NA Nintendo Drones, lead our forces to victory and make sure the Xbots do not spread their diseases…

As for Europe, we have other plans…

    1. The usa department of healt said this ” walking is good for the health and human interaction is also healthy.

  2. *Over Train Station mic* -Attention all N-gamers, the Nintendo Hype-train will be departing in 13 days. Please be sure to prepare yourself {And your body} as tickets are being sold out around the clock. Thank you for your time.- *End transmission.*

    1. Nintendo Commander

You honor us Nintendo Hype Conductor…

I’m sure our forces will get something aswell…

    1. Pitfall near your door

hey if it was up to me i would fly out to the US just to play these… hope they do something for us in EU and AUS.

  3. No San Francisco, CA? No Daly City, CA? but Emeryville, CA?! Yes! I won’t be ungrateful because some people are going to be out of luck here. Just not happy that I’ll have to pay $5 just to play a demo for a few minutes since there will indefinitely be lines as long as Hell’s entrance. Oh well at least I’ll get to try them out.

      1. Pffft, good luck with that one. Prob just the major cities if it’s 21. Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, one in Sask, Winnipeg, prob a couple in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec, Halifax. Maybe it’ll spread to some of the smaller cities as well, but Lethbridge would be low on the list. Come make a trip to Calgary during E3, just over a couple hours.

  4. ”Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum ^_^ ? …… Can you borrow me £1200 to go to America please?”

    ”Buuuut muuuuuuuum :( !”

      1. teoOctober 11, 2007oh shit..that blows..i say u keep all ur mario pics up if its not illegal..make a scene lol u’ll defifnitley get recognized..maybe the nintendo corp will pay u off or something

    1. I think Europeans might get something similar in one form or another. Maybe a Demo tour or something like that , I don’t know. TBH i’ll be fine just hearing peoples opinions and reactions from the US anyway…

  5. guess i wont be playing Most of stores seem not to be in urban ares, , me in Detroit . Nearest two places are far one in ann arbor, mi not close other out of state in Toledo, ohio 45playing minutes away, WTF.. :-\ side note when nintendo was traveling or nintendo experience or what ever it was called wasnt no where. Near Detroit, mi Mayb thier marking team say thier is not no demographics area here

    1. I feel your pain man! I’m in Detroit too but should be moving back to CA before June 12th. I was expecting them to have one at Roseville or Dearborn, MI for sure. Rochester Hills isn’t that far though I’d go there if I were you before going to Ann Arbor that’s for sure.

  6. They said that the demos’ll also be coming to 21 locations in Canada! Please let the Calgary stores be one of them!

  7. No Clearwater Florida?Aw man.It would be nice if they could put the ezclusive games on the wii u eshop.

  8. YESSSSSSSS i get play pikmin, mario and much more can’t wait my mind is literally blown with happyness. i’m happy nintendo made this move

  9. I live in south Florida and the only stores are way up north >.< Nintendo better put the demos on the fucking eShop.

        1. The cities in Florida are:

          Brandon
          Fort Myers
          Gainesville
          Kissimmee
          Miami
          Pensacola

And I live 15 minutes away from one of the stores :)

  10. Hmm the best buys that is close to me is about 1 day and a half away…ehh it’s worth it. *gets on plane*

  12. YES! Finally managed to find a Best Buy 12 minutes away from my sister’s place (I’m visiting for the week). Should be able to stop by one of those days.

My only gripe with their execution is making it only happen for two days which are frankly only known by us, the current customer base. The point of this move is to not only give people a chance to play what’s at E3 but give the general public exposure to the Wii U. The most effective way to do that in this situation is have those demos be playable Tuesday through Saturday. As is when word of mouth is spread the friend may not know when they should come and end up missing out.

Hopefully the representatives are very good at getting that info out to those playing so that’s not a concern. Too, if people do flock to Best Buy on Saturday an active crowd getting around a Wii U would be good publicity. It’s instinct for people to look into a crowd, mainly due to curiosity. I do hope these demos become available later via the eShop for anyone who may have missed them.

  13. Oh of course as soon as I move something actually comes to my town for once. Oh well, there’s a possibility I might be in St. Louis that weekend so maybe I can go to the best but there.
