Despite still not confirming whether Call of Duty: Ghosts will be coming to Wii U, Activision still says that it wants the Wii U to be a success for Nintendo. Activision Publishing boss Eric Hirshberg says that the company scrutinises opportunities very carefully, and if they think the opportunity will pay off, then they devote their efforts to it. Hirshberg says that they want to see Nintendo be successful and will do anything they can to do to ensure this happens.
“I don’t think we’re slower to move; we’re a very choiceful company. We’re very choiceful in the number of titles we make. We scrutinize opportunities very carefully, and when we go into them we go big. And I think that’s been part of the formula for our success. We were there with a lot support for the Wii U at launch with a Call of Duty game, with a Skylanders game and with several other titles. We want to see Nintendo be successful and we want to do anything we can to help them be successful. Obviously the Wii U is struggling – that’s not a secret, I don’t think there’s any other way to read the narrative right now – but they’re a really good company and they’ve got some incredible IP that has yet to come, that they honed for that platform. We have a vested interest in making them successful.”

To make the Wii U better, they need third party help. I don’t think Nintendo’s trying hard enough to get third party games. They need to reach out more and ask several developers for help. They already got a good idea with Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem and Sonic Lost Worlds, why not ask for more?

Not true. Nintendo needs to drop there big games to increase sales. Then third party will come. Third party’s will not support if the numbers aren’t there. Look at the vita. It’s better in terms of specs then the 3ds but no one is buying it so it gets no support.

Once again numbers. We got dlc in the form of patches. What you want is map packs camo and guns. The cost on that is not worth it to them at this time.. Can’t be done with the amount of people online. It would have to be free and even then I don’t think it would work. It would cost them money.

I don’t know how to take Activision’s comment. Are they saying they will support Wii U with titles to help in its success? Or just that it would be “nice” if Wii U succeeds so we can then make profit off the games we publish on it….. but we’re gonna hold off on many more titles on Wii U until we see it succeeding.

Activision DOESNT MAKE COD. They are the PUBLISHER they only fund the COD games they dont actually MAKE THEM. Its smart business wise. Im sick of people hating on Activision just cause they Publish COD. Yes COD sucks and I’ll never support it and it needs to die already but its Treyarch and Infinity Ward that actually makes COD. Activision may not be as good as they used to be but they are better then other publishers like EA for example. Activision has their good moments. Partnering with Bungie proves they have a brain.
Call of Duty is an Activision franchise and both Treyarch and Infinity Ward are owned by them; so yes, they make Call of Duty.
Everyone wants, but no one is willing to do the work. Step up and support the system for the long term if you want it to succeed.

I’m satisfied enough but I do think High Command better have a few games in development for the Wii U that utilizes the Gamepad in a unique way that makes the PS4/Vita and Smartglass hard to replicate or impossible to do so…
However with the 3DS leaving of shelves faster than the combined specs of the PS4 and the Xbox Done, I’m confident that the Wii U will surpass both the Gamecube and potentially N64 which is not a bad thing in any way…
Both of those consoles had games that defined game genres forever…

I fell in love the second I laid eyes on Destiny. I only want to play FPS with the Nunchuk and remote or otherwise I would own something not Nintendo for FPS games. It makes sense… You want to point and shot. Did you ever go to the arcade to play the FPS game with the controll stick and buttons or the one with the shotgun or pistol.
Most arcade shooters are on-rails, so that’s not a good comparison.

Activision have seen how luclustre the xbox1 shall be. PS4 shall dominate the other twin the xbox1. Activision is relying on nintendo a continual presence in gaming. Nintendo is a long term investment, for COD shall not be a mainstay for too long. This indeed is a good year for gaming. Pikmin 3 arrive so as we play thee. Let us perceive that what is happening is good. Even Activision sees this.
Then please bring Call of Duty Ghosts over to our system!!! I understand the lack of faith in Nintendo but what about the holiday season? Things may change around that time and the install base of the Wii U will grow thus you will sell more units of Ghosts on Wii U. Take the chance please!!! I know I will buy the game.

Just gonna say, I’m never going to buy a 3rd party game if it doesn’t have everything the other ports have. For instance, Fifa 13 lacked a certain online mode or two. Did BLOPS2 get DLC? Didn’t ME3 lack DLC, too? I’m not going to buy crappy ports. I know DLC doesn’t really change the experience but I don’t want Wii-U-skeptics (friends) saying I have a crappy Wii U port. It doesn’t do the system justice.
