    1. For a Nintendo console, sure, but not at large – PSN has been doing it for more than a year. There was this time I got $10 back just for renewing the PS+ annual subscription, which is $50.

Anyway, it’s nice to get something back from being a loyal customer. If I hadn’t bought everything I wanted from the eShop already I’d sure take advantage of this promotion.

          1. When you fuck up your life, just remember, it’s probably because you mocked the Voice of Reason.

          1. Plus, 18 games with another added each months and up to 75% off in the Playstation store. I don’t even own a Playstation device but you can’t deny that is way better than this offer. With $50 on the eShop you would probably only be able to get 2 retail games and one download only game at the most.

            1. Scrap that, I just realized that I was looking at Amazon prices, I wondered why they were so cheap. The most you could get is probably one retail and one download only.

          2. If you had paid attention, you’d notice that you didn’t need to subscribe to anything to get the cash back, it was open to all users. Just like Nintendo is doing now.

  1. Why is Nintendo wanting people to go on eshop ignoring that it is very little ram in it in the first place? Its not like it has 100 gb or something.

          1. I dont know about you but I got the deluxe edition, and I still got a gang of space. Plus an external hard drive should I need it.

            1. I bought the deluxe as well, and like you, I also have a few gb of un-used space. Maybe it’s because the library isnt that great right now though and the VC is overpriced. I think they should have had a 64gb SSD in the deluxe though.

              1. I reformatted a 64GB SDXC card from exFAT to w/e the 3DS reads and slapped that baby in there and now I have 400,000+ blocks . I don’t think I had the deluxe edition, since the SD card I replaced was only like 2GB.

    1. The WiiU’s internal (Flash-memory is what you’re looking for), can be easily upgraded by plugging in an additional…

am I wasting my fucking time explaining this to you?…

Assuming NOT, you have to upgrade your storage by plugging in a hard drive or a flash drive. Nintendo did this on purpose so they could charge you retail + pricing for games after saving you $$ by not hard wiring an expensive as shit solid-state hard drive into your console.

    2. 32 gig is a shit ton for what you’re using it for. It’s not like you’re storing all your movies and music on it. It’s not a computer.

  2. So, I stick 100 bucks on my eshop account, get 10 bucks back, and then I buy Pikmin 3 on the eshop and get another 6 bucks back through the Deluxe Digital Promotion. That isn’t too bad, but I’m sure the company is saving plenty more money with it’s digital sales.

Really though, this offer when combined with the DDP is fairly nice, almost like 20% off all eshop software. Almost.

    1. If you’re planning on Pikmin and 101 around the same time, And you don’t want to fuck around looking for online sales, it’s reasonable.

  3. $100 is a lot, but heck, I know I’ll be getting Cloudberry Kingdom and Ducktales, and that’ll eat up a third of it just this next month alone.

        1. Yeah, it stinks, but $5 isn’t worth getting upset over. I’m sure you’ll end up finding a good deal in stores or something later on to make up for it anyway…

  4. It would be much easier for me go through with this if I was able to spread all that cash across both my 3DS and Wii U. Also if I wasn’t saving my money for retail games.

    1. Yeah I know
      Nano assault neo
      Trine 2
Mighty switch force: hyper drive edition
All I need is bit trip presents runner 2
      And maybe cloudberry kingdom

  5. So, it’s an additional 10% off your eShoo purchases (“additional” if you own the deluxe.)

See. I can do math you sly Marketing fuckers. But “Save 10%” didn’t sound as good, eh?

  6. Thanks for the heads up, I only use the eshop for games not available retail, but it doesn’t take long to spend 100 bucks on VC and indie titles.

  7. fuck that. they’re trying to hoard our dough. what if the eshop gets hacked and people’s dough vanish into thin air.

      1. Lol, your a funny fucker! You’re all right. (But he’s right about Nintendo trying to lock down our cash so we have to spend it on WiiU, when as earlier stated, we may want to buy 3DS games or naughty underwear later)

          1. or you could just wait for a sale of the games you are interested in and you will save more this way.

    1. If you’re downloading Pikmin 3, you put your money down a week early and you only pay $55 instead of $60. Yeah, awful deal.

  8. Well that isnt worth it. Thought it was add ANY amount like a $20 e-shop card and get $10. No way will I ever have more then $40 in my 3DS e-shop, and never will I have more then $60 in my Wii U e-shop.

    1. You look like that Pika-twat guy I like, with your lightning bolts and shit. Still, too old to be a Pokemon aren’t you, with all the bony turtle thing going on? There are truly some interesting fuckers on this site.

        1. *laughs* He MAY be a Nintendo fan… (he may not) but THANK YOU. god, can’t the devil recognize dry bones?!

  9. Nice of them to do, but not worth it to me. I don’t usually spend that much at a time on a game on the eShop.

  10. Meh. The idea is great, but the amount seems a little low for what they’re asking. Would probably be a better deal if their eshop had a lot more exclusives and/or vc, which is sorely lacking at the moment

    1. Earthbound wants to have a serious word with you. the Virtual console has a rare classic, it is simply beautiul. Ness is in it :).

  11. It said specifically in the email to keep this deal quite Sheldon. Damn you and your secret breaking. You don’t deserve deals like these!!

  12. so if i have $70 just sitting there in the eshop right now waiting to be spent on pikmin 3 does that mean i get the credit too?? or just if i add another $50? i don’t know….

    1. if i don’t get credit that’s kind of a mean promo for a nintendo fan who already has $70+ in the eshop waiting to be spent especially on pikmin 3.
