Nintendo Apparently Helping To Resolve Some Youtube Issues

There’s been a lot of controversy regarding Youtube over the past few days, but it seems Nintendo is trying to step in and help. A Google+ post based on an email from a supposed Nintendo representative called Dan talks about content ID matches, and says that the Kyoto based company is trying to resolve the situation. Here’s an excerpt from the Google+ post.

“The only thing we asked was to put our channel (guess its name…) on their whitelist, and resolve all the claims that were already made against us,” it reads. “After that, he sent us another email asking how to whitelist a YouTube channel. We called up BroadbandTV, which is our network, they confirmed us the users of YouTube’s CMS system can whitelist channels from claims. When we asked how to do that, they told us to email TGN support, and we are awaiting response as we speak.”

    1. Nintendo has every legal and moral right to take down any video that seeks to profit from displaying their copyrighted material (Including imagery, videogames, music, or related merchandise). they don’t need to justify it.

    2. Also, this is not only happening to Nintendo videos, let’s players of Sony and Microsoft consoles are also having problems.
This is an issue with the new system that flags content that may violate copyright (This system’s strict behavior has come to be thanks to the likes of Sony Music and Viacom who flip the fuck out as soon as anybody uses two milliseconds of their copyrighted material) and Nintendo is among many other companies such as Capcom, Blizzard and Ubisoft that are pleading youTube to fix the problem, but they don’t own the system, they just can’t barge it and get whitelisted, they can only ask Google to fix their shit up.

  1. Ugh, hope all this copyright bullshit goes away soon, it’s huge trouble for people.
Sure, if people are posting entire songs, tv shows and movie, get on their back, and heck…even people who just post blank entire gameplay footage with no source of commentary…or anything, but not people playing a game -.-

Nintendo could turn around all the crap they got for going cooyright crazy a few months ago

  2. I’ve heard a lot of LPers talking shit again, that’s who they are, they’re fucking parasites, they’ll jump at the first change to stir up controversy and thus gain views without verifying shit first.
Like that ZackScott fucker, he kept talking shit about a month after Nintendo had already fixed the original issue, calling censorship when only his profiting from copyrighted material was taken away and he could still upload and talk about any material he desired to. he even kept talking about the “problem” in Nintendo-related videos, like in his Dream Team series.

  3. Frankly I’m fed up with the Youtube “Let’s Play” community. These are simply people who got a lucky break, and are now expected to be able to get paid for doing nothing (I’m sorry, for the arduous work of playing games and chatting. There’s little to no video editing involved so no work there). Nintendo is fully entitled to take their profits in my opinion, given that Nintendo were the people who actually did the work in making the game.

You know, before this whole Youtube partner thing happened, Youtube still had a hot Let’s Play scene going on. There are still many good Let’s Players today making their videos for no profit. We don’t need the parasites. In my opinion, Let’s Plays have completely outstayed their welcome as a thing, but if that’s what you like, then fine, but don’t try telling me that these “content creators” (i.e. game players) need paying. They don’t, for every person who is making a living off Youtube, there are a thousand people who aren’t getting paid a penny but are making videos of better quality (because they’re motivated by making good videos, rather than shitting out as many as possible to make a profit). Find them.

    1. lets plays aren’t just simply playing games then uploading it, thats a play through. people watch lets plays because of the players not the actual game and its not like there losing money, if anything is free advertisements.

  4. What makes this even MORE STUPID is that the PS4 and Xbox One actually have a feature that lets you record vídeos of your gameplay. And, guess what? those vídeos are also being flagged! Ugh, YouTube should put their shit together…

  5. They need to fix the constant crashing problem it has. Every time I’m on the YouTube channel on my 3DS XL, an error occurs and it goes back to the home menu.

  6. I keep listening to the rumor speak about receiving boundless online grant applications so I have been looking around for the { bes… There may be perceptibly quite a lot to comprehend relating to this. I feel you made various nice points in functions also….
