Its takes less or a whole year for COD to drop its price because its overrated sales are too soon and those rate of sales drop quickly which partially explains why they make COD games every year. And others that do drop prices faster is because the rate of sale drop too.
Nintendo’s game on the other hand have been selling well considerably for at least 2-3 year, maybe more if its selling extremely well before noticing any rate of sale drops so they drop prices to keep the sales up. Remember Wii games like Brawl, Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess and Mario Kart Wii (6)? Those games took years to drop its pricing because it was hugely successful in a long run. Why Nintendo games take so long to drop prices compare to the others? Because unlike Nintendo, those games kinda suck after a while because few to none aren’t even close to Nintendo’s caliber of lasting appeal.
