Eight Out Of The 10 Best-Selling Video Games Of 2012 In Japan Are Exclusive To Nintendo Platforms

pokemon_black_and_white_2According to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, out of the 10 best-selling video games of 2012 in Japan, eight are exclusive to Nintendo platforms. Nintendo DS titles Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, which were released in Japan on June 23rd, 2012, have sold practically three million units in the country. Nintendo 3DS-exclusive Animal Crossing: New Leaf, also known as Animal Crossing: Jump Out, which was released in Japan toward the end of 2012, has sold over two million copies. Below is a list of the 10 best-selling games of 2012 in Japan; next to each title is a number in parenthesis, which represents how many units that game has sold during last year.

animal_crossing_jump_out_artNintendo of Korea has announced the release date for Nintendo 3DS-exclusive Animal Crossing: New Leaf, also known as Animal Crossing: Jump Out, which released in Japan on November 8th, 2012. The life simulation game launches February 7th in South Korea. Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be released later this year in North America and Europe.

Famitsu Awards Animal Crossing For Nintendo 3DS With A Practically Perfect Score

Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has awarded Animal Crossing: Jump Out, also known as Animal Crossing: New Leaf, with a near-perfect score. The upcoming life simulation game for Nintendo 3DS received a 39/40, which means three judges gave it a perfect 10 while one judge gave it a 9/10. The game launches in Japan on November 8th and elsewhere next year.

Animal Crossing: Jump Out, also known as Animal Crossing 3DS, launches November 8th in Japan and during the first half of 2013 in North America. Animal Crossing And New Super Mario Bros. 2 Themed Nintendo 3DS XLs Revealed

Nintendo today revealed an Animal Crossing themed Nintendo 3DS XL, which includes the downloadable version of Animal Crossing: Jump Out and launches November 11th in Japan for 22,800 yen.

Nintendo also showcased the New Super Mario Bros. 2 themed Nintendo 3DS XL, which includes the full game on an SD card that’s packed with the system and releases November 15th in Japan for 22,800 yen.

Animal Crossing: Jump Out, also known as Animal Crossing 3DS, will feature a “Reset Center” building – in which the nagging, persistent mole, Mr. Resetti, will scold you every time you reset the game. The new Resent Center is apparently different from Animal Crossing: City Folk’s “Reset Surveillance Center,” where players can randomly visit Mr. Resetti and his brother, Don, once a week.

If you fulfill particular conditions, you’ll be able to have a floral village, morning village and rich village. As the mayor of town, you’ll be able to build a sleepless village to increase shops’ open hours. It will take 3000 precious Bells (Animal Crossing currency) to decorate infrastructure with exotic carpets and wallpaper from the merchant-camel, Saharah. By using the Nintendo 3DS Camera, players will be able scan QR Codes to import PRO designs.

Nintendo of America has given a launch window for Animal Crossing 3DS. The Japanese version of the game is titled Animal Crossing: Jump Out!, and will be released in Japan this year. The game will most likely be given a different title for when it launches in North America during the first half of 2013.
