Japan: Nintendo 3DS Sells 28K And Wii U Sells 7K

It’s been a busy week for the Japanese video game sales charts as there has been a number of new releases. As expected it is Final Fantasy Type-0 which has claimed the top spot, fending off titles such as Resident Evil: Revelations 2 and Battlefield Hardline. Interestingly, Battlefield Hardline entered the Japanese charts at number three, which isn’t a bad debut at all for a first person shooter. Anyway, here’s the best-selling software and hardware this week in Japan.

UK Charts: Mario Party 10 For Wii U Arrives At Number Four

This week’s UK charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. It’s been a busy week for video games as there has been a number of new releases. Battlefield Hardline took the number one position and was followed by Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. What was surprising is that Mario Party 10 for Wii U managed to secure fourth place despite mixed reviews. It just goes to show how popular the Mario Party series is with consumers. UK Charts: Zelda Majora’s Mask Climbs To Eleventh And Dying Light Remains Number One

This week’s UK charts are now in thanks to Chart Track and there’s a couple of new entries including DmC: Definitive Edition and Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition. On the Nintendo side of things The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D climbed from fourteen to eleven and the unstoppable Tomodachi Life reentered the charts at number twenty-nine. Tomodachi Life wasn’t the only Nintendo title to reenter the charts as Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo 3DS charted at number thirty-four. Here’s the best-selling games this week in the United Kingdom.

Japan: Nintendo 3DS Sells 58K And Wii U Sells 7K

This week’s Japanese sales charts are now in and it’s no surprise to see The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask take the number one position in the software charts. There were a few other new releases this week including Samurai Warriors 4-II and Nanatsu no Taizai: The Seven Deadly Sins – Unjust Sin, amongst others. On the hardware side of things it was the Nintendo 3DS that once again proved the most popular format as it shifted 58K. The Wii U continues to struggle as it only managed to sell 7K. Japan: Nintendo 3DS Sells 34K And Wii U Sells 7K

We’ve finally got this week’s sales data from Japan courtesy of Media Create. It’s PlayStation 3 JRPG Tales of Zestiria that has taken the top spot this week, which was kinda to be expected.The game sold 340,891 copies. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse for Wii U made its début at number three, but only sold 32,137. As expected it was the Nintendo 3DS which was the best-selling format shifting 34K while the Wii U sold 7K units. Here’s the best-selling software this week in Japan.

Japan: Nintendo 3DS Sells 153K And Wii U Sells 30K (Dec 29 – Jan 04)

We published the Famitsu sales charts on Tuesday, but there seems to be some discrepancy between those and the Media Create sales figures. The Famitsu numbers were apparently the prior week’s numbers which were published late due to the holidays. Anyway, now we’ve got the official Media Create charts which shows us sales data from December 29th to January 4th. Consoles sales have predictably gone down after Christmas with the Nintendo 3DS selling 153K and the Wii U managing 30K. Yokai Watch 2 remains the best-seller post-Christmas and continues to dominate the number one spot. Here’s the best-selling hardware and software in Japan.
