Nintendo 3DS: Professor Layton Vs Ace Attorney Could Be Coming To The West

Online gaming publication Games Radar noticed an English-language press release for Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney at this years Tokyo Game Show. The interesting thing is that it notes that “English names are TBD,” which presumable means that Level 5 and Capcom will eventually localize the game for the West. What do you think?

Nintendo DS: Level 5 And Studio Ghibli Show Off Amazing New Footage Of Ni No Kuni

Level 5 has released a trailer for the beautiful Ni no Kuni. The trailer is for the PlayStation 3 version of the game but Studio Ghibli and Level 5 have also worked on a version for the Nintendo DS which came out in Japan on December 9th. Personally I don’t think I’ve seen a better looking game, what do you all think?

Nintendo: Professor Layton And The Eternal Diva Is Coming To North America

Viz Media has announced that it’s bringing Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva to North America. The anime movie takes place between the events of Professor Layton and the Last Specter and Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. The film has been a runaway success in Japan and Level 5 has already commissioned a sequel. Anyone thinking of picking this up when it goes on sale later this year?

Nintendo 3DS: Sixth Professor Layton Game On Its Way

Level-5′s CEO, Akihiro Hino, has revealed that the company is currently hard at work developing the sixth iteration of the incredibly popular Professor Layton franchise.

The Professor Layton series is already two editions ahead in Japan with those of us in the West still awaiting the last two episodes. Rumour has it Level 5 may see fit to bring the fourth game in the franchise to the Nintendo 3DS. Would you rather see it on the Nintendo DS or the Nintendo 3DS?

Nintendo: Professor Layton Developer Level 5 Has 20 New Titles In Development

Level 5 the acclaimed development studio behind the immensely popular Professor Layton franchise have revealed that they’re set to début a gargantuan twenty new titles at their annual press event known as Level-5 Vision. According to various online publications the event which is due to take place in August is set to be bigger than the previous years event which saw the company unveiling Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney for the Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo 3DS: Professor Layton Vs Ace Attorney Announced

Level 5 and Capcom have announced that they’re teaming up to bring together the Professor Layton franchise and the Ace Attorney series for the Nintendo 3DS. The games title translated is roughly ”Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney.”

The game’s story has Professor Hershel Layton and Phoenix Wright (Ryuichi Naruhodo in the Japanese version) finding themselves in a different world. They come to the medieval city of Labyrinth City, where reality and illusions are intertwined. This strange town is also home to witches, who hide in the shadows, and is a place where magic is real. It has also been home to a number of impossible occurrences of late.

The city is controlled by a villain named Story Teller. The story he writes with his pen becomes reality as the future of the world.

Layton will find himself faced with all new puzzles. As for Phoenix Wright, the person who seeks his help this time has been accused of witch craft.

The final game in the first series of the immensely popular Professor Layton series could soon be heading overseas.

Level-5 and Nintendo are currently negotiating whether to bring Professor Layton and the Lost Time Travel to the Western markets under the name Professor Layton and the Unwound Future.

Nintendo 3DS: Critically Acclaimed Dev Level 5 Working On New 3DS Title?

The developer behind the critically acclaimed Dragon Quest and the Professor Layton series has announced it has a brand new title in the works.

Although the company’s next game is currently tightly under wraps, Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino has stated that the new title will be “centered on a system that’s not yet in this world.”
