Launching on the same day as Yoshi’s latest video game adventure, Yoshi’s New Island, is a green Yoshi Edition Nintendo 3DS XL system that features an image of Yoshi on the front, as well as a series of cute Yoshi eggs on the back. The system will launch on March 14 at a suggested retail price of $199.99.
Yoshi’s New Island is the next game in the charming Yoshi’s Island series, and the first on Nintendo 3DS. In the beautiful side-scrolling platforming adventure, players take control of Yoshi as he carries Baby Mario and helps him reunite with his kidnapped brother. Along the way, Yoshi will throw eggs that he lays, including the massive Mega Eggdozers, and experience a variety of inventive transformations with unique controls.
Yoshi’s New Island also features helpful items like the Flutter Wings, which let Yoshi fly through the air. This item is great for players who have trouble completing a level, and ensures that people of all ages and skill levels can enjoy the game. The Yoshi’s New Island game launches separately on March 14 at a suggested retail price of $39.99.

Nintendo of America has revealed that those of you who wish to buy a Nintendo 3DS XL can get one for $149.99 at Target. This deal includes any official 3DS hardware bundles, so be on the look out for the special edition Legend of Zelda 3DS XL which comes bundled with a copy of the acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Be warned that the deal is only available from November 28th till November 30th.

US retail emporium Target will be selling the Nintendo 3DS XL for $149.99 on Black Friday. The handheld, which features a 90% larger top screen than that of the original Nintendo 3DS, normally retails for around $199.99 on Amazon. Will you be making the plunge and purchasing one of these acclaimed handhelds on November 29th?
Nintendo is now selling refurbished Nintendo 3DS XL consoles via its online store. The refurbished system can be purchased for a limited introductory price of $169.99 – the same price as a brand-new standard Nintendo 3DS. The refurbished console’s regular price is $179.99. Both the red/black and blue/black 3DS XL are offered at Nintendo’s online store, and each comes with an AC adapter, stylus and 4GB SD card. Refurbished Nintendo products are fully functional and come with a one-year warranty.
Nintendo has uploaded the new Mario & Luigi: Dream Team TV commercial onto its YouTube channel. In the commercial, which you can watch above, an all-black Nintendo 3DS XL is shown, further suggesting the color will be released in North America to coincide with the release of the new Mario & Luigi game, which launches on August 11th. IGN has spotted an all-black Nintendo 3DS XL in a commercial for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team in North America. The above screenshot was taken from the aforementioned commercial, which is currently airing on the American cable television network Cartoon Network. Because this is the second hint we’ve received so far, it seems plausible this color will come to North America within the next couple of weeks – leading up to the launch of the new Mario & Luigi game on August 11th – but Nintendo has yet to comment on the subject.
The Pokémon Company has revealed another Pokémon X and Pokémon Y-themed Nintendo 3DS LL. The limited edition hand-held console – shown in the picture above – is gold-colored, displays silhouettes of new Pokémon Xerneas, Yveltal, Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie, and it will be released alongside the other Pokémon X and Pokémon Y-themed Nintendo 3DS LL and Nintendo 3DS games Pokémon X and Pokémon Y on October 12th in Japan. There’s currently no word on whether either of the two designs will be released outside Japan, but we’ll keep you posted.
Earlier this week, Nintendo announced its plans to release a Pokémon X and Pokémon Y-themed Nintendo 3DS LL in Japan. The company today revealed a picture of the limited edition hand-held console, which you can see above. The new design, emblazoned with artwork of Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal, will go on sale in Japan on October 12th and will retail for 22,800 yen. Also releasing on that day are Nintendo 3DS games Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
A brand new, standalone Pink Nintendo 3DS XL console is set to be available in the UK from 31st May 2013, providing newcomers to the Nintendo 3DS XL experience with more options than ever before.
The Nintendo 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro is now being sold in North America. The device is priced at $19.99, adds a second Circle Pad and an extra set of shoulder buttons to the handheld console. For now, the only way to purchase the device is through Nintendo’s online store, as the company confirmed to Joystiq that it currently has no plans to sell the Nintendo 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro at retail.
