PETA Attacks Pokemon Black & White 2

Animal rights group PETA has launched what could be seen as a scathing attack against Pokemon Black & White 2 which launched in North America on Sunday. The animal rights group released a Pokemon Black & White 2 spoof game to explain to consumers how they feel about the series. The group also provided the following statement regarding the popular franchise.

“Much like animals in the real world, Pokémon are treated as unfeeling objects and used for such things as human entertainment and as subjects in experiments. The way that Pokémon are stuffed into pokéballs is similar to how circuses chain elephants inside railroad cars and let them out only to perform confusing and often painful tricks that were taught using sharp steel-tipped bullhooks and electric shock prods …if PETA existed in Unova, our motto would be: Pokémon are not ours to use or abuse. They exist for their own reasons. We believe that this is the message that should be sent to children.”

New Breeding Details Emerge For Pokemon Black & White 2

A new discovery has been uncovered in Pokemon Black & White 2 despite the fact that the game has been out in Japan for some time now. One of the most recent discoveries is how the game’s breeding system has been changed from previous Pokemon games. Here’s what has been ascertained by Siliconera:

  • Each Pokémon has a single pre-designated ability
  • There’s no way of changing what this is
  • Some Pokémon are capable of having one of two pre-designated abilities
  • The ability is chosen at random when you encounter the Pokémon in the wild
  • During breeding, the baby Pokémon’s ability is now dependent on its mother
  • If the mother is a dual-ability type, the baby has an 80% chance of inheriting that ability
  • This gives the baby a 20% chance of inheriting the other ability that the mother doesn’t have
  • You can now 100% guarantee that your Pokémon will inherit a nature from one of its parents
  • To do this, give one of the parents an Everstone to hold

Pokedex Pro Information For Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo has revealed more information about the Pokémon Black Version 2, Pokémon White Version 2 and Pokémon Dream Radar games, as well as the Pokédex 3D Pro application. Pokédex 3D Pro will be available for Nintendo 3DS exclusively from Nintendo eShop on 8th November.

Pokédex 3D Pro: The perfect companion application to Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, Pokédex 3D Pro is sold separately, and launches in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS on 8th November. Players can learn all about their favourite Pokémon, as this enhanced and upgraded version includes detailed information about more than 640 Pokémon featured in the history of the Pokémon video game series. With the new Pokémon Challenge, players can test their Pokémon knowledge in a variety of quizzes. To ensure that players have access to the Pokédex that will aid them the most while playing Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, the original Pokédex 3D will be removed from Nintendo eShop on 11th October.

Join Avenue: In Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, players will also have the ability to explore a new area called Join Avenue. This area is populated with anyone that a player has interacted with via wireless Tag Mode, trading or battling. These players will open shops in Join Avenue that sell rare items not found anywhere else in the game. There are several different types of shops that can be opened on Join Avenue, including those focusing on supplies, powering-up Pokémon and more. The rarity of items that can be purchased from these shops is determined by how populated a player’s Join Avenue is.

Memory Link: By connecting Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2 with a previously played Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version game, players will be able to see what happened to some of the characters from Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version during the past two years, capture special Pokémon, and more. The scenes players encounter in Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 will depend on how far they have progressed through Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version. Use of Memory Link requires either two systems from the Nintendo DS or Nintendo 3DS family or broadband Internet access.

Pokémon Dream Radar: Launching exclusively on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS on 12th October Pokémon Dream Radar is an entirely 2D experience that lets players catch Pokémon and items using Augmented Reality technology by moving the Nintendo 3DS system to aim and shoot Dream Clouds. Caught Pokémon and items from Pokémon Dream Radar can be transferred to Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2. The game lets players take on the role of an assistant to Professor Burnet, a scientist studying the Interdream Zone. The Pokémon that players catch in Pokémon Dream Radar may have hidden abilities not available in Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, and many of the items in the game cannot be found in Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2.
