Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo Officially Reveal Nintendo 3DS Release Date

Nintendo have revealed the Nintendo 3DS pricing and release date during their Tokyo press conference today.

The 3DS will be released in Japan February 26, 2011 and will retail for ¥25,000 (USD$300). There will be two colours available at launch so consumers can either choose the Aqua Blue or the Cosmos Black version of the console.

Nintendo have yet to reveal when we will be seeing the 3DS in the West but the company have tentatively laid down a March 2011 release date for North America and Europe.

Nintendo 3DS: Newspaper Reveals Nintendo 3DS Japanese And European Release Dates And Launch Games

Popular German newspaper Bild has revealed that the Nintendo 3DS will be hitting the Japanese gaming market November 11th and will arrive in Europe sometime during the Spring.

The paper claims that the 3DS will launch in Japan on November 11th and then in Europe in spring 2011. A price of €200 is given, which in direct terms translates to around £170.
It also lists the apparent launch titles – Mario Kart 3D, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle and, surprisingly, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

Nintendo DS: Pokémon Black & White US and UK Release Dates Revealed

Nintendo have finally announced the American and European release date of the eagerly anticipated Pokémon Black & White.

Nintendo of America and Nintendo Europe have revealed that the game will be launching in both territories during Spring next year.

“It’s rare to find a franchise with such worldwide appeal and dedicated fans as Pokémon.”

“We’re excited to inform our fans that this eagerly anticipated adventure, featuring an all-new generation of Pokémon, will be available in Europe in spring 2011.”

Nintendo 3DS: Reggie “Mistaken” Regarding Nintendo 3DS Release Date?

Nintendo industry insiders have told online gaming publication Kotaku that Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime was mistaken with regards to the US release date for the Nintendo 3DS.

According to sources close to company’s Japanese headquarters, the Nintendo of America exec made an error when he stated that the Nintendo 3DS would be out next year.

From what our source is saying, it sounds like 3 months has been shaved off the release window for the Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo 3DS Coming To Europe March 2011?

Nintendo Europe may have given away the release date for the Nintendo 3DS in Europe after they accidentally published the release date for Paper Mario 3DS on their website.

Nintendo Europe accidentally posted a March 25th 2011 release date for Paper Mario 3DS on their website, leading European gaming publications to speculate that this is the actual release date for the Nintendo 3DS in Europe.

Nintendo Wii: Zelda Wii US Release Date Revealed?

Popular US gaming retailer Gamestop has the next Legend of Zelda title for the Nintendo Wii listed for release, November 1st 2010.

Whilst this date can only be described as speculation at present, Nintendo have continuously stated that they’re aiming to release the highly anticipated title at the end of the year.
