Capcom has released the first European television trailer for the gorgeous Resident Evil: Revelations. The TV spot is roughly one minute long and is full of action packed sequences from the game. Resident Evil: Revelations is released in Europe on Friday and in North America next month on February 7th.

Resident Evil Revelations Was Originally Going To Take Place In A “Floating Mansion”
Masachika Kawata, the producer behind Resident Evil: Revelations has revealed that game was originally intended to take place in a floating mansion on the sea, but Capcom USA forced the development team to change the floating mansion to the cruise ship which is named the Queen Zenobia.
“The concept for Revelations, it was actually just a floating mansion. That was the concept. It was just a mansion at sea. Capcom USA forced them to change it to a cruise ship.”

Capcom has uploaded five minutes of Resident Evil: Revelations footage from the company’s Premier Party event earlier today. The footage contains plenty of spoilers from the game’s story mode, so for those of you who don’t wish to tarnish the experience you may want to avoid watching it. Resident Evil: Revelations launches January 27th in Europe and February 7th in North America.

The frankly gorgeous demo for Resident Evil: Revelations is now available to download via the Nintendo 3DS eShop in North America. After Capcom mistakenly Tweeted earlier that Resident Evil: Revelations was available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop I can now confirm that the game is officially available for download. Capcom Europe has announced that the Resident Evil: Revelations demo is now available to download on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. I’m not sure whether the demo is available in North America at this moment in time but I’ll update as soon as I hear.
Update: Capcom says it’s available but I can’t find it here in the UK.
Resident Evil Revelations Gets 6/10 In Edge Magazine
Edge magazine has given Resident Evil: Revelations a decidedly average 6/10 in the latest issue which hits news stands now. Edge isn’t the only publication to award Resident Evil: Revelations an average score with Games TM awarding the game the exact same score. Resident Evil Revelations is out January 27th in Europe and February 7th in North America.
Nintendo Provides Exclusive Resident Evil Revelations StreetPass Details
Nintendo has revealed the StreetPass functionality included in Capcom’s forthcoming Resident Evil: Revelations for Nintendo 3DS. In the single player mode, called Campaign mode, different items will be available to collect by passing other Nintendo 3DS owners; in the co-op mode, called RAID mode, players will receive new enemies and missions via StreetPass. When a new item becomes available, players will receive a parachute icon and after clicking on this the new item can be collected.
Capcom To Release Special Soundtrack CD And Strategy/Art Book Guide For Resident Evil Revelations
Capcom Japan has announced that it plans to release a couple of companion product for Resident Evil: Revelations in Japan. Capcom will firstly release a strategy guide and art book for Resident Evil: Revelations which contains 192 pages of strategies for campaign mode and includes a range of artwork featured throughout the game. Capcom will also release the Resident Evil Revelations Original Soundtrack which contains 66 tracks from the game. Capcom has yet to announce a Western release for either products.
GamesTM Magazine Awards Resident Evil Revelations 6/10
Respected UK games publication GamesTM has awarded the highly anticipated Resident Evil: Revelations a mediocre 6/10. The publication seems to have issues with the game’s episodic structure which is calls ‘cheap’ and the fact that you find yourself battling against the same enemies time and time again.
