Update: Amazon UK has matched Argos on the same bundle at £179.99.
UK retailer Argos is currently selling the Wii U 32GB premium model – which comes packaged with Nintendo Land – for a cracking £179.99 down from its RRP £299.99. Available for home delivery and in store, the Wii U premium pack is oddly reduced to the same price as the basic pack, so if you’ve yet to pick up Nintendo’s home console, make sure you take advantage of the offer.
When UK supermarkets and retailers cut the price of Wii U consoles last year, Argos soon followed suit with the £199.99 price tag. Other Wii U premium packs, such as Mario and Luigi and LEGO City Undercover, are still priced at £249.99 at the UK retailer, however. Argos has not detailed how long the price drop will last, or if it’s a permanent reduction, but if you’re looking for a January bargain, this could be right up your street.
Amazon UK has temporarily stopped selling the Wii U Premium Pack. According to the online retailer, a customer who had purchased a Wii U Premium Pack claims that the item wasn’t received as described. Amazon UK assures its customers that it is working to resolve this issue, and that they can still purchase the Wii U Premium Pack from other sellers. Amazon UK’s comments on why it’s not currently selling the Wii U Premium Pack can be read below:
This product [Wii U Premium Pack] is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described.
We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may still find this product available from other sellers on this page.
When the Wii U Premium Pack launches in Japan on December 8th, it will include a black Wii U Console, Wii U GamePad, console stand, GamePad stand, an HDMI cable, two AC Adapters – one for the console and one for the GamePad – and a GamePad cradle. For European and North American consumers, the Wii U Premium Pack, also known as the Wii U Deluxe Set, will include a sensor bar and Nintendo Land as well.
