Nintendo: Miyamoto Says His ‘Best Work Is Yet To Come’

Legendary games designer Shigeru Miyamoto has told gaming publication GamesTM that he personally believes his best work is still yet to come.

“Ten years ago I could never have been able to imagine that I would be making games like that. That’s why I can say that the best is yet to come to me.”

GamesTM also quizzed the Nintendo legend on a HD Wii console.

“Technology is always evolving and Nintendo, just like other companies, is going to integrate those technologies into our new products as they develop.”

“Whether that be a Wii HD, Wii 2 or an entirely new console, I am not in a position to say at the moment.

“I think that in the next generation of hardware, the challenge is how unique and different a product Nintendo is able to make.”

When GamesTM told Miyamoto that they’d love to see a new Starfox game for Wii, he replied: “Me too.”

  1. “Technology is always evolving and Nintendo, just like other companies, is going to integrate those technologies into our new products as they develop.”

That statement more or less confirms that the next console will have HD graphics. It does to me anyway. Anyone else think that?

Anyway, if his best work is yet to come, I can’t wait to see it!

  2. OMG!! StarFox in HD :D it’d b just like the Island Flyover game on Wii Sports Resort only BETTER!! Please Mr. Miyamoto :)

  3. Miyamoto’s interviews always seem to be lackluster (perhaps due to his limited English). That said, his work is brilliant! He may be a genius or he may have just been lucky in becoming the George Lucas of video games, whichever the case: he has created some of my best memories of childhood. Long live Miyamoto!

  4. I want Star Fox to be like the original games, none of this on foot stuff like in the GC games, just classic space shooting fun with awesome coop!
