Nintendo currently has six 3D classics in development for the Nintendo 3DS. We already know about Excitebike 3D and Xevious 3D but there are still four other titles currently getting a 3D revamp for the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Apparently work started on the 3D classics in 2009 and whilst the games may appear to be straight ports there is quite a lot of work going into them. Any thoughts on what these four games might be?
I wonder if they’re all Nintendo’s classics, or 3rd party classics aswell.

One of them HAS to be Pokemon Red/Blue. inb4 too new to be classics; not everything needs to be from the late 80’s/early 90’s to be a classic. Replaying through NES games but in 3D seems sorta… eh. SNES and GB on the other hand, I’d totally go for.

Zelda – a link to the past!!!
I’ve heard rumors that Zelda: Link’s Awakening was one of the first titles considered for a 3D remake. I suspect one of those four games may indeed be an adaptation of the first portable Zelda.
on the Wii, it was possible to save your place in retro games. It would be sweet if they added this to the 3DS. Especially for metroid.
People are mentioning games that aren’t NES or Game Boy or Game Boy Color. If some of these games were in development from 09 it would be any of those titles. They have said there is the possibility there will be more platforms in the future, but have not said what. I would like to see Metroid II and Zelda of course.
Zelda 1 and Zelda: Link’s Adventure would be great imo, or Sonic
Sonic would be great in 3D. I read in Nintendo Power that a Sonic for 3DS is on the way.
Why aren’t all 18 that were demoed at E3 2010 being released? The ones I recall being functional there were SMB, Zelda, Punch-Out, Metroid, SMB3, Kirby’s Adventure, and Mega Man 2…obviously there are others as I didn’t list 18 titles, but that’s just what I remember. Also, they can’t be straight ports because Excitebike wasn’t a straight port, right?
Rygar! Trojan! Shadowgate! Kickmaster! In the boring real world, probably something like clu clu land, balloon fight, mario bros and yoshi’s cookie.. It would be cool to get actual 3d versions of games that we’re supposed to be 3d, like world racer and rad racer –

I don’t know if this will be the exact list for remakes but it is my wish list of my top four:
1. Metroid II (I would love to have it look better than even the Metroid: Zero Misson remake)
2. Earthbound (cult classic remade and best part: playing it on the go
3. Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons (would look awesome remade in clearer graphics)
4. Link’s Adventure DX (yeah I know I’m repititive but Zelda anywhere is good)
Man, I can’t decide on what I want… -.-
I want to see a 3-dimensional game be remade in 3D like Zelda OoT 3D.
