Crytek co-founder Avni Yerli has told NowGamer that it’s currently considering how to bring back its immensely popular TimeSplitters franchise. Sadly there’s “no concrete plans” at present, but it’s encouraging that the company are thinking about bringing back one of the best first person shooter franchises of all time.
“Obviously Timesplitters, historically, was for [Free Radical/Crytek UK] an important IP,”
“From our perspective we always had a lot of fun playing Timesplitters – Timesplitters 2 was amazing fun. Crytek and Crytek UK are interested in the IP; we are thinking about it but we’re trying to decide what we could do best with the IP, where we could bring it. There are no concrete plans yet.”
…how is this Nintendo related?
That was a joke hurr? ROFL.
Wasn’t a joke.
TimeSplitters was a really good series that arrived Gamecube. So, you really are joking, Mr. Hurr…
the headliner pic is cool….I give the gamecube timesplitters a thumbs up! :D
1. how is this nintendo related?, 2. sweet i love time splitters.
Perhaps they are considering bring it to the Nintendo U?
There was a TimeSplitters on the Gamecube. I would love for it to be brought out as a TimeSplitters 3 on the Wii U, that would make my day.
Have we forgotten there already was a third one called “Future Perfect”?
TS3 was better than TS2… Story and multiplayer were phenomenal. But I’d rather them make a new one to the caliber of TS3 instead of remaking any of them
It’s also Nintendo related because Free Radical Design who made Timesplitters wa founded by an ex-Rare team who developed Goldeneye an Perfect Dark!
I fail to see how this game is perhaps the best fps of all time.
To solve this problem, bring it to the Wii U. It’ll be people like me that are willing to try a hardcore title they never heard about.
