Yoshiaki Koizumi has told the Official Nintendo Magazine that the fantastic-looking Super Mario 3DS will feature a number of popular Mario suits and power-ups. We already know that the game will feature the legendary Tanooki suit but Koizumi says there’s plenty more adorable suits for gamers to look forward to when the game launches later this year. Can anyone guess which suits will be included?
“I can’t reveal the actual number of power-ups in the game right now, but suffice to say that we do try to include enough so that people can enjoy a variety of different kinds of play experiences in the title.”
“Also, I should point out that we don’t necessarily decide on what number of famous Mario suits will appear in the game and proceed from there – we try to find interesting gameplay ideas and then try to settle on what to do in different places.”
“But I can say that we will definitely have some more familiar suits than just the Tanooki Suit.”
I say Propellor, Penguin, Hammer, and frog will return
Um… why would the penguin suit AND frog suit return? They both do the same thing, aside from the penguin suit also shooting ice balls.
Well, i was going to buy this anyway. So, yay more good news =P

I would love for that to be the real reason the Tanooki suit can’t fly and not just because of a “screen size” issue. I’m still not buying that.

I kid, of course. There are much more popular and urgent suits than the Bunny Suit, but I’d like to see it used at least at one point.
