Great news for Nintendo fans as Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has told US gaming publication Nintendo Power that the company are currently discussing whether to remake The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the Nintendo 3DS. Apparently if everyone makes enough noise then Nintendo will consider making Majora’s Mask 3D a reality.
After playing Ocarina of Time 3D, the next question that comes to mind is: Will we get a Majora’s Mask remake next?

Well, Yes!
It’s been 13 years since Ocarina of Time was originally released, and one of the big things that we made this remake possible was that there was an outpour of emotions from people who said they would like to see this game done. We said we could do it in 3D, so we did. I think certainly if there was a similar output of emotion and clamor from fans for a remake of Majora’s Mask, it wouldn’t be an utter impossibility.
Thinking on it now, having a handheld Majora’s Mask where you could kind of just set things down on your own time – close it, set it aside and come back to it later – might be a game play element some fans will actually take to and might really appreciate. Especially considering how you really had to rush through the original game, in a sense.

When I finished Ocarina of Time, all I wanted was to keep going and play Majora’s Mask! This would be such a great decision for Nintendo. They would not only satisfy their fans, but make a killing from a game that already exists!
after i played ocarina of time on 64 i played it on the 3ds and then i played majoras mask on 64 and i loved it so now i want to play it so bad on the 3ds
a remake would make so many fans so much more happier because i find majoras mask was a great hit when it came out! it was by far my favorite zelda game. after playing ocarina of time 3D i would expect the sequel to be made because a 3D collection of zelda ocarina of time an majoras mask would highly peek the interests of many fans around the world. nintendo would make a great amout of money off of this. with all of the fans support i think nintendo could do this!.
the old games are some of the best zelda games and for the people who can’t get the original a remake would be even better than the original and will very much be enjoyed all around the world so let’s just hope they end up remaking majora’s mask on 3ds majora’s mask rocks!!!!!!!
I’m with everyone above me. A remake would make the game so much better. Like said in the article, you had to rush through the entire game basically. Well, you did have owl statues, but those only allowed you to quicksave.
But I’m going to get off-topic. I personally Majora’s Mask was the best of the N64 Zelda games (OoT was the best IMO), but MM was pretty good. Creepy, but good. I’m all for a remake.

The temples were by far the best out of all the zelda games, and the whole way the game is designed intrigues everyone i have ever met that plays the game, and thet all tell me it is their favorite, so a remake would be utterly AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Majora’s Mask is my Favorite zelda game not only that, its my favorite game. Majoras Mask is a very depressing game thats what makes it a really fun game i played it for the n64 and i was very happy and also allot of like majoras mask so they would play it on the n64 and if they had to go somewhere they have to go to one of those saving birds and then shut the n64 off but if you make Majoras mask 3DS you can just bring it with you. play it on your way to school or to your grandmas or even on your way to a funeral. i REALLY LOVE THIS GAME. so PLEASE make it for the 3DS. I AGREE!! they cant make one awesome classic and not make the other. that would be stupid, plus they would make a shit load of money by making both. AND i want more and new content like in ocarina 3d you can battle all of the bosses from your bed and once you beat the orginal you got Master Quest unlocked. they need to do that for majoras mask also. cuz classics with awesome new content is ALWAYS AWESOME! :)

to me Legend of Zelda majoras mask was no is the best legend of zelda game i have ever played in my life and i’ve played numerous versions of zelda but majoras mask is by far my favorite however it’s not just mine its many other people’s favorites too i know several people that are crazy about majoras mask mainly what they said is that the story line the adventure everything about the game was great and i have the exact same opinion as most people do REMAKE LEGEND OF ZELDA MAJORAS MASK!!! it will boost the popularity of the 3ds and by that happening more people will want to buy it that makes more profit for nintendo that way everybody’s happy so nintendo remakes majoras mask and they get a bigger profit everybody wins.

majoras mask was a huge part in my childhood, my brothers played it, my sisters played it and i waited 11 years of only watching to finnally play and then i got about half way thruogh and then the unthinkable happend! the game system melted!!! AH! but it was noot ruined, my bro took it to virginia and i havent seen it ever since! i wish that i could play it again! you may not know this but millions of people want this game to be remade, they just dont know that the producers are still thinking about it. they think that it will be ariving soon, dont worry if you put out some comercials people would know this… and quite possibly might be all over it.

It would be soo awesome if MM was remade I have been dying to play it ever since my brothers sold our n64 and games to buy a gamecube. I may have gotten to play OOT on the gamecube but I’ve always regretted missing the chance to play MM, so in short I really hope you remake MM for the 3ds.

I started playing Zelda games when i was younger, i am 14 now and would love to play MM on 3DS because i never really got to play the game properly on n64 because i was too young to play the twisted and beautiful game i have just finished OOT on 3ds and to have the next series would be a dream.

The legend of Zelda: Majora`s mask is my second most favorite zelda game in the franchise. The first one being Twilight Princess. The reason why I loved it so mutch was because it was varied, not only could you get on with the adventure at hand, the clock town was a whole world in itself, with a routine, you could either save the world, or walk around town and get involved with the locals in side quests, AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANTED. Also, I love the game`s dark and spooky style. If they remaster it on the 3DS, Im comitting myself to buying it along with ocarina of time 3DS which I have not bothered to buy yet.

Xenoblade, Lost Story and Pandora’s Tower are Wii games, Nintendo is trying to faze out the Wii in order to get Wii U going as fast as possible, the same is for the DS and 3DS, how many new major first party releases have we got for DS? On the other hand the 3DS has 3 new Mario games (Mario Kart, Super Mario and Parer Mario), we just got Zelda OOT3D, Kid Icarus is on the way, Smash Bros 4, etc.
Nintendo don’t want to make games for a dying console, they want to shift to the next generation.

I would love that. Majora’s mask was, no, is my favorite Legend of Zelda game. The only problem was that the 4 dungeons were too easy (In my opinion) so it would be awesome if they were harder and flipped.

i think this is great for a remake,introduces people who may not know of Majoras Mask,it is such a unique Zelda game as well with its dark feel,people bash on Nintendo for makeing remakes but honestly we have so many new games comeing up we should not be dissapointed,i am stoked for this game,graphically wise i think it will be better then ocarina of time for te 3ds for some reason

Finally Nintendo, your making the right decisions for your fans. Making remakes while you’re secretly making Zelda 3ds. Jizzed in my pants when I saw Majora’s Mask (The icon, not the word)
1. Give it Master Quest.
2. If you beat it in MQ then you get a cut scene at the end that explains some of Fierce Deity’s back story
3. In keeping with the loose tradition of releasing Zelda games in twos, within 6 or so months of each other, release it alongside a new Zelda game set 100 years before MM centers around Fierce Deity as the bad guy.

As a huge Majora Mask fan, having a gem like that on my 3DS and being able to play it most anywhere I go would really mean a lot. It is a fantastic game and the graphic update as well as maybe a few added bonus like replayable boss fight challenges (such as what was done in OoT) would be a real treat. Would love to see such a port.

Majora’s Mask to me was an even better N64 Zelda than Ocarina of Time. For me, Majora’s Mask 3D = Day 1 purchase, Nintendo and Greezo. As much as I enjoy playing Ocarina of time 3D right now, I’ll enjoy playing Majora’s Mask 3D even more.

Would be great great if it came free with a new zelda game for the 3DS, like how OOT was rereleased with windwaker on the cube. I know it takes more time and effort to remake than simply port it. The original took about 2 years to make but a remake should be quicker since they dont need to think about the story, setting and enemies since they already exist, and they wont have to start from scratch since they build upon OOT3D like how the original MM was built from OOT. But if they do make this game it will most likely be used as a stop gap to please the fans while they develop the new game

I think it’s a great idea to remake Majora’s Mask on the 3DS, especially considering that MM was a game with some of the best graphics to be found on the N64 when it was released.

Although a ds game would probably be cheaper. It’d be harder to do because the ds lacks the circle pad. Plus they already have the engine for oot 3ds which on the N64, was the same engine used for MM. So doing MM on 3ds would be easier and would make more sense. Sorry if this disappoints you. Honestly though… I don’t care if it’s in 3d or not. I just want to be able to play it. I’ll never be able to get a wii or a wii u. So if nintendo goes and decides to remake this for the wii or wii u, it’ll kill me.

After playing through Oot 3d I would really like mm 3d I don’t something about the improved graphics and 3d just made it a better experience for…except the few ghosting issues which hopefully will be addressed with majoras mask

For those of you who are annoyed with all of the remakes coming out nowadays, I hope it calms you if I remind you that the Game Boy Advance was full of remakes in the beginning too, but good stuff shall come later. As far as an original Zelda game, it would be pointless to make another touchscreen adventure like PH or ST for the 3DS since the 3D is on the top screen so it’s possible to have another top-down button-based game like Link’s Awakening or Minish Cap which would just be delightful. Here’s hoping.
Yeah, the GBA had not 1, not 2, but 3 Zelda remakes. Both NES games and A Link to the Past! It’s Majora’s Mask’s turn on the 3DS.
The GBA remakes were acceptable because Nintendo wasn’t making a habit of rereleasing games at the time.
I see nothing wrong with remakes, they let you enjoy a game you know you love in a new way. I am always hesitant to buy a new game because I’m not sure if I’ll like it enough to spend the money, but when it’s a game I know I love already then I’m glad to buy it. I only bought the 3DS because of Ocarina of Time and the hope of Majora’s Mask.
They aren’t making a habit there going to release the new one first and besides if you don’t like it don’t buy it and keep your mouth shut. There are people here would loooove a remake and your just hurting peoples feelings. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

Did you know it was 5 years between Link’s Awakening and Ocarina of Time? Nintendo doesn’t have to bring out NEW GAMES every year, give them time to make something really great. During the gaps they can give us remakes and third party games.

I wish there were more venues to express, nay, yell my desires for a Majora’s Mask remake! It was certainly my most played zelda, and even if it doesn’t have the fanbase that Ocarina of Time did, i’m sure there are millions out there who would agree that it’s a memorable and worthwhile experience. I’d hope for a master quest mode, but seeing as they never had one planned, it wouldn’t change my vehemant desire to purchase it day one. When I see Koume and Kotake all I really see are the potion lady and the boat game director. All of the characters have a deeper, more involving story and the many personalities weave together in probably the most involved, lively and dense world(even if rather small in comparison) in any Zelda game ever. And the ever simple pleasure of rolling around Termina fields with limitless magic as a spiky Goron was probably my best childhood memory of a game. Aounuma, I beg you from the deepest depths of my heart to remake this game. I’ve had so many personal memories of it and if my words can somehow effect the decision, i’d write ad infinitum. The chances of any of this making an impact may be null, but i’ll still try and support any movement to make Majora’s Mask 3DS more than just a possibility.

I finished playing Majora’s Mask for the first time on VC recently and it bored me to tears. Easily my least favorite Zelda game. I would’ve been all over this news a few weeks ago too.

Amen to anonymous. The DS ones were subpar compared to MM. Majora’s Mask had the darkness and creativity the Zelda Universe ache’s for on a regular basis. Sure they’re all really fun and unique and whatnot. But really, Link is a lonely boy, thrown into a race that was not his own, thus being uncomfortable in both. So he sets out on a Journey to find his one true friend, and finds a world truly in despair. With the fucking power of Time itself, along with other god-like magic (Fierce Deity, Giant’s Mask, Great Fairies Sword), he destroys the evil Majora like a boss with a ton of badass masks and weapons in tow, just to find someone that makes him feel a semblance of home.
That, is beauty, and that is Majora’s Mask. If that “bored you to tears”, you either weren’t paying any sort of attention, or you were too inept to accept an actual challenge, unlike newer games today that have gone soft on us.

I LOVE these games, but I’m mad about seeing it in almost every single console. Even Chrono Trigger. It’s in SNES, PSONE, PS3, NDS, NWii… And the same happens with N64 Zeldas (Ocarina of Time, actually). Really? Why this? Why?

The reason Nintendo “Rehash” old games is to allow some of their more recent fans, who might have only just recently started playing Nintendo Games, to experience some of their older content since they’re not that easy to obtain anymore. My brother’s friend bought Ocarina of Time 3D not because he wanted to try out the game again with better graphics, but because he actually never played the game before. If nintendo did not make Ocarina of Time 3D, then he would have never gotten to play the game. I know that you can get these game on Emulators, but not everyone know’s how to do that.
To be honest, emulators suck. Most of them are laggy for most people and a great amount of people have missing graphics when playing. The original N64 game and even the wii VC game was buggy. But with a graphical remake in 3d for the 3ds with bugs fixed. That is something that will make people who played the buggy versions happier and the people totally new to Majora’s mask amazed with this dark, yet amazing classic zelda game.
And Mac computers do not even have many emulators….
This is the best Zelda game, in my opinion. I have been on the fence about buying a 3DS, but this would push me OFF that fence and into Nintendo’s yard. DO IT!!!!

Heck, If it hadn’t been for oot on the 3ds, I would’ve never gotten into zelda games.
I’ve played Spirit tracks and Phantom Hourglass and they were great fun with many sidequests so you don’t get bored too easily! But they lacked something… I really didn’t feel like getting another zelda game because I just didn’t like the touch screen control. I got a 3ds with rayman 3d only as my only 3d game. Loved it but it got boring after you beat it… Then I saw the commercial for oot 3ds. It looked inspiring. And link’s look, at that time, was new to me. But I liked that new look. And I loved the idea of button control!!! I actually saved up for 2 months just to get it. And let me tell you… Watching the intro with the 3d tab turned all the way up, let alone going into hyrule field with it on… It’s inspiring…. I still haven’t gotten around the master quest :) I love the goron’s old look better than the ds version. And the zoras…. Love em! :) :) :) But after beating the game my cousin, 16 yrs old. Who played MM told me that’s the game that goes where it left off. And let me tell you nintendo… If I can’t continue the Loz story. I don’t know how I could ever get another zelda game. It would be like a book that’s ending leaves you hanging, wondering about what happens next. And that’s just pure torture to me. I end this statement with one request for you nintendo… All I want is a remake of Majora’s mask on the 3ds. It’s the only 3ds game I will want for a long time… I’ll never ask for another game I want ever again if you do this and I’ll pay any price. I’ll even preorder it!!! Please don’t break my heart and cancel the idea of this. Please… And thankyou.

the only reasion i got the 3ds was for OoT and after seeing how near perfect the 3d remake of OoT is, i would get MM in a heart beat if they remake it. im a long time LoZ fan and i realy like the fact that they remade OoT. the little i have played of it, it was worth the money for the 3ds and the game. if they remade MM for the 3ds and if its just as polished and as near perfect as OoT, then there will be no reasion why it will not become an instent classic (again)

Well, we have kept our promise. It is true that many fans have indeed spoken up but we must still talk about whether or not this would sell well and if it’s worth making. Ocarina of Time was a hit remake but a previous remake of Rayman; the great escape, didn’t sell so well. Many fans are tired of remakes. We’ll discuss this matter but I must tell you that there is no way we can release this before 2012. We have released many zelda titles this year and we will release skyward sword and an eshop version of four swords. At best if this is decided to be done we can have it done by Fall of 2012, but if we experience problems we may delay the project. At the latest it will be released on the holidays in 2012. Thankyou

I played ocarina of time for 3DS alot of people say it was good but better for regular DS but i disagree the graphics are so amazing and the game is so good i would love, actually all of us zelda lovers and gamers would luv the Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask to be made for 3DS. After beating OoT 100%, the next thing I do is play Majora’s Mask. The story consists of many subtle sub-plots that tie into the main story, and every character has his/her problems that you must help with. The puzzles were more complex, and the gameplay was pretty smooth like OoT, but with a time limit that gave players pressure to finish tasks a lot quicker. What sets this game back is the lack of dungeons it suffered from. Fortunately, Nintendo can fix this with an all new Master Quest. OoT had one on GameCube, which was more or less ported to 3DS, but mirrored. This would be the first time we’d see a MM MQ, which is what this game deserves. This game already allowed you to re-battle bosses, too, but I still hope they improve this by letting you battle them without going to the dungeon you met them in, and include a Gauntlet mode similar to OoT 3D’s (which I still can’t beat! XD).

This would be awesome, not only would it be helpful in the way the game is set up (sleep mode), but this game has special effects that deserve this, just imagine fighting any of the bosses in 3D, or watching the moon fall, it would be epic, this cannot be missed, please do remake Majora’s Mask.

To be honest, I would love it if they remade all the great N64 games onto the 3DS. Even the sub-par ones. I’d buy them just for the nostalgia. Replaying OoT on my 3DS was great. I’d love them to remake Donkey Kong 64, Pokemon Snap, Smash Bros. Majora’s Mask and all the other ones I can’t remember. That’s just the kind of person I am. I doubt I’ll ever buy any more 3DS games unless they were a remake or a new game of a currently established IP.

I most definitely want a Majora’s Mask remake! It’s the best Zelda game so far (at least in my opinion)! With some of the hardest puzzles in Zelda and learning about the townsfolk like in a Harvest Moon game, this is one of the best. Besides, they already remade OoT. Wouldn’t it be kinda wrong to leave out MM?

I have played every Zelda game ever made (except for Four Swords) and must admit that Majora’s Mask is my least favourite 3D Zelda. On the other hand I believe that is because of the pressure that the 3-day limit puts on you. I WOULD like to see it remade because as they said, setting it aside and coming back to it in your own time is better and will not be such a sad conclusion if the moon smashes the Earth.

Majora’s Mask is my #1 favorite Zelda game and one of my favorite games of all time! I wouldn’t love anything more than a Majora’s Mask 3DS! Ocarina of Time is amazing too but Majora’s Mask is so unique and different than the other Zelda games. My only flaw was it only had 4 temples, but if it had a Master Quest that would add on to it or be re-arranged. For the newer audience, or for who had a hard time with the original, Sheikah Stones could come in handy… It would be unfair to have a remake of one of the best games ever (Ocarina of Time) without it’s sequel! PLEASE make Majora’s Mask 3D!!

My first zelda game was ocarina of time and I loved it after I beat it I looked at some of the other zelda games.
On my Wii on the shopping channel I ran into zelda majoras mask and in said it takes place after ocarina of time an I loved ocarina of time so I knew i would like this game.

This is the second game i ever played (next to Oot) I loved it, I love it more than many of the newer games because most of the newer games eliminated the gorons and the zoras. I wasnt going to buy the 3DS because i decided it was gimmicky but my sister said you could playOot on it so i bought it as quick as possible, they same will be said for MM, the moment it comes out ill be at gamestop first thing in the mourning. I think people that say they dont like the game just have a hard time beating it so they have to wine and since missery likes company, they want to make life harder for everyone else.

Majoras Mask is better than Ocarina of Time. It has a detailed storyline and there are very few characters that do not have a specific role to play in the game. Skull Kid was a baddie that actually gave you the shivers and this would be even more effective in 3D! 3 unique forms of Link kicks Adult Link’s arse, mainly because in this game, Young Link aquires most Adult Link skills. Majora’s Mask or The Windwaker need to be remade for 3DS although nintendo really shouldn’t waste either of them. However, we’d appreciate it if Nintendo pushed for even better graphics than Ocarina of Time 3D, and actually FIX the glitches!

Majora’s Mask is my second favorite Zelda (my favorite being Link to the Past, but that’s not what we’re talking about.) The only thing I could think about while playing Ocarina of Time 3D was playing Majora’s Mask on the 3DS.

Majora’s Mask was one of the most influential games of its time. No one thought that Nintendo could outdo themselves when they released Ocarina of Time. With Majora’s Mask, they outdid themselves far and beyond. I personally feel that the 3DS first caused such an uproar because The Ocarina of Time was released practically alongside with it. Imagine how many people would buy into the sequel. The point that this article makes on the fact that players can set the game down and can come back to it whenever they want is the most crucial point of all. As a very dedicated and avid Zelda player myself, I have many friends who also enjoy the game more than the average person. The point that I am trying to make is that the biggest complaint that i ever heard about Majora’s Mask was the fact that the player had to rush through the game to meet the three day time limit. As a Zelda fan who has played more than his fair share of these games, I think Nintendo needs to release this game. It needs to happen. The gamers want it. The fans need it. Eiji Aonuma, continue the legacy that has captivated players for so long. Release Majora’s Mask for the 3DS. Long live Link, and the Legend of Zelda.

i have personally never owned Majoras Mask on N64 but i watched my friend play it and it seemed SO MUCH FUN! I want a Remake so i can expirince what that game was like! even though not playing Majoras Mask i think its the best out of all Zelda games. Majora’s Mask 3ds would be awesome. MM is my favorite Zelda game. But they should fix a few things and add some bonus content. An MM master quest would be awesome. They should fix the save feature. They should add a temple for getting to the final boss like they did in Ocarina. It would just be cool since the game only has 4 temples although the temples are amazing. But the Master Quest and save feature fix should definetly happen.

Sure, why not? I am an all-time Zelda fan but I have never played this one before. My brother says that the moon is creepy which isn’t the best for me because I scare pathetically easy. Majora’s Mask was a game that I both loved, and hated. I really would have enjoyed the game more if the controls were a bit easier like Ocarina of Time’s (I found it hard to play as the mask characters), but if Nintendo made this for the 3ds with better aiming controls like they did OoT, (I HATED trying to shoot stuff without Z-Targeting in the classics) then I will definitly give this game another chance. The thing I hated about is that it glitched me getting the golden sword about 5 times, so I had to go back and defeat the Snowhead boss again, and again, and again. I also don’t think they really need a boss replay mode because you could go back in time and fight the boss as much as you wanted.
Sorry about me ranting, I apologize, just had to get these feelings out.

MM was in many ways better than OoT (Didnt say it WAS better but it stacks up) and needs to be made. The main story concept was good but it was even more emotionally shaking with the side missions and how the moon impacted the lives of npcs and what you could do to involve yourself in helping them. The Kafei and Anju sidequest was one of the most heart-felt, pre-apocalyptic events and even the involvement of the Ocarina of Time was ingeniously tied in into preventing the coming cataclysm. The game was challenging and even if it was too easy for the LoZ veterans, there was the 6-day challenge ( http://www.gamefaqs.com/n64/197770-the-legend-of-zelda-majoras-mask/faqs/31495 – for more info on the challenge ) which is more grueling than the standard typical gameplay. All and all, this is a gem you DON’T want to leave out of a 3d remake.

Ocarina of time was the iconicle to the Zelda serie, Majora`s mask, its direct sequel was a masterpiece, I played it the first time when it was on display at Toys R Us as a demo, I could hardly play cause of the time limit, but I loved Link`s new shield, and mainly his awesome front and side flips. the cartriege was like a treasure in itself: All gold, with a holographic image of the title, the Zelda title in purple and the spooky majora mask. I loved Ocarina of time, but to be honest, Majora Mask was my favorite Zelda game, after twilight i must admit, but its the second best one.

Majora’s Mask was the best LOZ game in my opinion (until Twilight Princess at least) and it should definately be remade!
What really should happen though is, EVERY SINGLE LOZ BECOMES AVAILABLE ON 3DS, Do not attempt to make the next big handheld, pick a system, and make it as good as it possibly can be, give them more memory, better hardware, and of course, amazing games.

I played this game as a kid and it was my absolute favorite game, I purchased a 3ds just for the zelda remake that was released and also in hopes that majoras mask would later be released. To play this game again in 3d would bring back the fond memories I have as a child and I would most definately be one of the first in line to get it.
It would give some of the fans who never got to play MM a good chance to see how truly awsome the game really is,and I would also like to play it again on the 3DS.

I only just got started on the Zelda series three years ago and I just beat OoT 3D. It was so amazing and I want to play MM but I can’t really because I don’t have the system. I really think it would be cool if they made the sequel in 3D because then people who can’t get the console can get it on the 3DS and have a high-def experience. And I really want to play it in 3D.
And if we can’t get it on the console we can have it portable and also if we keep it for forever we can let our kids play it like I play my moms old nintendo and still love it as much as my 3DS. Ocarina of time 3D motivated me to play through the game at all. Never played the N64 game all the way through, never relaly owned it either. I didn’t get to play majoras mask on N64. I never had a N64 so I haddnt played any old zelda games. My friend lent me his N64 and Zelda games. I played ocarina of time and part of majoras mask. I really wanted to finish majora but I had to give it back. After that I bought a 3DS just so I could get ocarina of time and play it again at my own pace! Now that I finishes Ocariana of time, ALL I want is majoras mask! I NEED it! Zela is the best game I have ever played! Please do this game!

WE NEED MAJORAS MASK. This game is so under appreciated by Zelda fans. It makes me sick. having it for the 3DS might make people appreciate it more because now they can play it at their will. They don’t have to go make time to sit down and play it.(Which made you feel like you had to get through a temple in a sitting. -due to the time.) They won’t feel rushed anymore! I liked OOT. But i liked MM just as much. I loved the use of the masks even if the 3 days thing was a pain. I loved accepting the challenge & i loved seeing young Link feature in another game. It would be kind of a waste to put MM on wii u as it is already on the wii and gamecube. They keep remaking it for main consoles, but I think it is time they make it on a portable console because they can finally do it now. It must be done there is no argument about this. Confession Time: I have never beaten Majora’s Mask. I don’t know why, but I felt like I was…threatened. And that I also felt rushed. Yes, I know that’s what it was supposed to be like, but still, I could not enjoy it properly. It for me felt like it was not a Zelda game. I feel if nintendo were to make a “remake” of Majoras Mask many, many people would be beyond happy. We have to think about the fact that the 64 isn’t all to popular these days, and many people wish they had that old school system just to play an ounce of Zelda. To be honest most people want a better quality in their gaming, a remake would solve every problem. and with Zeldas plot where can it fail.

Nintendo please do remake Majora’s Mask for 3ds I would happily fork the 40-50 bucks over for that game and am more likely to do so thank I am for the Link to the Past sequel.

I think it would be a great idea to remake Majora mask. I mean I have been playing Zelda since link to the past on nes and I would love to see a remake of majoras mask which happens to be the only Zelda game I haven’t beat. Oh plz plz plz make this remake…….

I loved that game!
Majora’s Mask without a shadow of a doubt deserves a remake onto the 3DS. It was the first Legend of Zelda game I ever played and it’s what made me fall in love with the series in the first place. I was around the same age as Link was when I first played it, and I had always dreamed of going on an epic quest just like that, so in a way, I was able to live out that fantasy through Link. Everything the critics put down about Majora’s Mask was something I loved. The three day time limit was a challenge to me, not an annoyance. I’ll admit that the owl statues weren’t as easy as saving on the menu, but in the remake they can put owl statues in the temples like in Skyward Sword. Besides it’s better than saving and winding up at the beginning of the temple or the place where you started like in other games. Majora’s Mask may have a small world map, but there was so much to do and see in each area that each section was a small world unto itself. There is just so much to love about this game that I can’t see how anyone can not love it. The music, the art and attention to detail that went into every corner of the game, but best of all was the mystery surrounding the world of Termina. From the smallest Mysteries, such as the paper airplane on the back right pillar at Ikana Castle; to the secret origins of Majora and the Fierce Deity. I want to see this game made just as much if not more than everyone else, so if Nintendo wants us to voice our cry for the remake, I say we shout it out. Form petitions, start a texting chain, anything to get the word out. We want Majora’s Mask 3D! And to all the naysayers who have had nothing but negative things to say, may I just politely say that you aren’t being forced to buy the game if you don’t want to. It shouldn‘t matter to you if the game gets made or not, so don’t stand in the way of the rest of us who wish to see this game made.
I love the legend of Zelda games and I beat Majora’s mask it on two months after it come out on the N64 and I would seriously like a chance to beat on the N3ds I have the same amount of fun playing it on N3ds I really loved the storyline and had a lot of fun playing.

how aboot twilight princess….now there is something also great to consider for the 3ds…especially with great graphics and gameplay….it would add to the combo if I could take it elsewhere

Ocarina of Time and Majoras’s Mask are the 2 best Zelda games, Ocarina of Time 3ds was awesome, and they need to make a Majors’s Mask 3ds remake, that would be awesome. Hopefully Nintendo reveals it at E3 2014. If anyone else agrees with me then reply back, that would be awesome.

Just make freeking majoras mask. I need to play it and I don’t have time to download onto wii or get the right controller plus witch controller do I need?
Also I recomend they do it for 3ds because people can then play it anywhere also if there was a mode for Ben drowned that would be sick.plus there should maybe be like a final quest to get the majora mask or even visit hyrule before falling down the tree of doom!!!!!!! So yes I hope for the better which is remaking it
