    1. Apparently they don’t read Nintendo power or partcipate in the polls. Notice how those are more “kid” games outside of Skyward Sword.

  1. What a depressing line up for the Wii and DS!
One big game each and the rest will be 3rd rate stuff.

3DS is in desperate need of new, good, must have games.
Old 64 bit titles are not system sellers more than a decade later!

      1. Well he is right,it’s more of the same crap over and over, sure there may be a few new features and the graphics are more polished but it’s still a rehash of the same thing and it’s starting to get old VERY quickly.

Don’t get me wrong,i love Nintendo but i would love to see different games other then remakes of Zelda,Starfox,Mario ect but i guess if it sells like crazy which im betting it will then i would keep remaking the same game over and over too but gamers like me will eventually move onto other games/systems.

I do wish Nintendo would port a lot of their Japanese games over to the US as well as other countries tho.

        1. Mario, kid Icarus,Mario kart, paper Mario and luigies mansion 2 aren’t remakes or rehashes they are brand new games and as for star fox 64 and the maybe majoras mask remakes I’m excited for them because Oot 3d was awesome I thought the 3d made it better and I’m sure there will be an original Zelda and more original nintendo titles on the 3ds not including 3rd party games…oh and animal crossing is also coming out this year

          1. Instead of waiting for sf 64 i bought it on the wii for 10 bucks… and animal crossing will be amazing… it was better on a handheld than a console… wild world was the best

    1. I agree. It saddens me as a gamer that any titles having to do with spiderman, x men or cartoon network would make it to the top of the lists of most wanted games. I think it shows a real lack of good original titles. Either that or its just a mystery why they werent picked. Either way, its disappointing.

    1. Because Star Fox isn’t out yet. I believe all of those titles outside Paper Mario 3DS are supposed to be out before Luigi’s Mansion 2.

    1. That’s why the Wii U is coming to save us.

Quote me if I’m wrong, but I thought Nintendo promised VC games when the shelf titles were slow…

        1. Last game was I think either last week or the week before.

In my eyes, the last “good” game was like month ago with Final Fantasy III (aka 6) from the SNES. Before that? Mario Party 2 months and months before.

    1. I heard that they are working on something like that but not much just a very subtle hint to it

  2. I’m ok with some classics, but what I really want is Metroid 2: Return of Samus, played it only once two decades ago, better yet a remake like in Zero Mission. I want Killer Instinct, games like that. Also, if they want a nice line up get games like Soulcalibur, loved the 2nd one gor GC so why not more?

  3. What do you expect? This is Nintendo Power? Do you really think it would allow REAL gamer’s opinions in it? This is Nintendo’s opinion of what they think players want. And we’ve known for some time now, that they two circles have a common point so small in that venn diagramm, it barely registers.

  4. Okay I know that some games are wanted because each person have different tastes, but I think everyone will agree that the most wanted game for the 3ds is Smash Bros u_u

    1. Yeah, that’s definitely one of my top 3 most wanted games for 3DS… ha, but on a side note: Where is Kirby Returns to Dreamland on the Wii list?!

  5. Something tells me this was a closed poll with only a few choices (No Last Story/Xenoblade?).

  6. I don’t see neither Kirby DS and Wii on the list. Is this really what readers want? I doubt it. Also, I guess they didn’t include the 3 RPGs because there’s no confirmation of a US release and would use space on the list. I look forward to SS and Rune Factory on that list, but I don’t agree with it since it does look like they pick a bunch of random kids to select games with Skyward Sword being left in the top spot regardless of what the kids picked.

  7. nope, they’re lying. Project Rainfall is the biggest uprising of fans to get games released in gaming history. for them to not include Pandora’s Tower, Xenoblade and The Last Story is utter BS. I’ve known Nintendo for a long time, and it’s obvious, HORRIBLY obvious that they’re lying.

  8. Okay, guys. As someone who’s been subscribing to Nintendo Powers for years, let me shed some light on the list:

*It’s a monthly little thing that they’ve been doing for years now. It’s not some in-depth feature.
*Any announcements from E3 probably won’t be showing up there until the September issue. That’s how magazines work. Also why there’s no “Most Wanted Wii U list” yet.
*It’s always only used confirmed American releases, so you won’t see anything Operation Rainfall related.

  10. My most wanted games are definately Zelda: Skyward Sword and Super Mario for the 3DS. The second one, if it is good (and i hope it will), will be a system seller for me. I don´t have a 3DS now, but may buy it, when Super Mario comes out this december.

Also there´s nothing really special for the NDS in this list… may it rest… it was a great console ;)

  11. That list for DS is REALLY depressing. What is with all this cartoon crap? And Mario / Sonic Olympic games?

Thats a nice list you just pulled out your ass there, Nintendo. That or you were very selective about who you polled. Keepin it to the 5 year olds? Nooo that cant be it I had better taste in games when I was 5 then this. OH it must be that family market your letting take over gaming – the same people you can trick into buying things like “TV Show King Party” (its on top 100, apparently).
