Nintendo Wii: Infinity Ward Say ‘You Can Have An Awesome Call Of Duty Experience On Wii’

Robert Bowling, Infinity Wards Creative Strategist, believes that Wii owners can have an ‘awesome Call of Duty experience on Wii’. Infinity Ward are busy creating Modern Warfare 3 for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 whilst Treyarch is porting the game across to Wii. Anyone excited for Modern Warfare 3 on Wii?

“The Wii has grown so much as a platform. The great thing is Treyarch proved that you can have an awesome experience on the Wii with Call of Duty. They’ll actually be handling that for Modern Warfare 3.”

  1. I bet infinity ward to just spitting shit. If the Wii was the same as Xbox and playstation, they’d be the ones developing

    1. Actually, this isn’t a bad idea. So long as the Wii developer is decent then giving each platform (HD and Wii) its own developer can prove to improve the quality since it’s not one developer whose attention is split and therefore quality could wane.

  2. i’m getting this on xbox 360. after world at war on wii, i’ll never buy call of duty on a nintendo system again.

  3. The Wii port of this game seems rather pointless at this stage. Just port the game (or better yet, all three Modern Warfare Call of Duty games as a collection) to the Wii U as launch titles.

That would really be an “awesome experience.”

      1. ^ Fanboy/hater alert.

No, they really don’t. And Modern Warfare Reflex on Wii is fantastic, and the job that was done to port it to Wii was fantastic.

            1. It’s so fun on the wii waw was ok and reflex was good it’s great with the controls, can’t wait for mw3 on wii!

  4. I have said it before, and I will now say it again: Modern Warfare Reflex was great, and was great fun online. I actually prefer it to the Xbox or PS3 versions, as the controls are excellent. So all these haters… relax. CoD can be on Wii, and it can, in fact, be really good.

  5. Why tell us this when we already know COD can be awesome on Wii (see Reflex Edition). Treyarch is an amazing company and I’m glad that they will be handling the Wii version of COD 3.

  7. the only cod that had everything in it was call of duty 4 but had horrible lag and bad hit detection, and freind codes were a pain, now if that game had patches i would agree with you guys, also make sure we can get dlc…

    1. I’m not familiar with the numbers of COD (sorry :) )

but just asking, by Cod 4 do you mean Modern Warfare or World At War?

      Thanks

  8. Whether you like Call of Duty or not, it’s still a big franchise and the company that created it (even though the founders have long been kicked out) are finally expressing interest in Nintendo’s platform.

  10. Even Though I will probably be getting a ps3 for this game,i still support the wii and i think that mw3 will be amazing for the system, i love wii,i love black ops (if it gets patched) and mwr was alot of fun.
atleast black ops was good…conduit 2 was a dissapointment…*in comparison to the 1st game…how can you go from reticule to spray and pray crosshairs?*
