Nintendo 3DS: Trade In Your DS At GameStop And Get A Nintendo 3DS For $99

I’m not from the States so I’m not entirely sure what a GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro membership is but if you have one then you can snap up a Nintendo 3DS for $99 if you trade in a Nintendo DSi, DSi XL or a Nintendo DS Lite between Friday, August 12th and Sunday, August 14th. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me!

  1. the pro membership has a subscription fee,
    the 3DS is now 170,
so that would make my DSi worth about 50 bucks?
    no thanks. I’ll pass.

  2. The PowerUp reward program is basically the same as Club Nintendo. When you apply for it, you get a card that you activate by creating an online account. Every time you buy or trade in using your card at a gamestop, you get points that you can use to get items from the reward program. Some of them are exclusives such as a Zelda belt or you can also get gift cards depending how many points you get. The 3DS thing only requires you to have that card and trade in your DS. It’s free, btw.

  6. Got my email today, this is exactly what I’ve been holding out for. My gf has a DSLite that she never plays and I have a DSi that she always hogs, so I’m going to try and get her to let me trade in the DSLite for a new 3DS. I also have $75 from used games on my PowerUp Pro card, so I’ll get the 3DS for $25 +tax.

I think I’ll wait to open it though and trade it in later for the red 3DS.

  7. Along time ago, I got a ds lite for Christmas. Last year I traded it in for a dsi xl, and this year I traded in my dsi xl for a 3ds. Gotta love gamestop
